vallhallan fluff, umm... read title

yeah thats pretty much it.

can anyone tell me about valhallan background?

what I know is that their world was really nice and lush and beautiful, but then a comet hit it, obliterated most of the population, and pushed it far away from the sun where it just got colder. Thats about it...

Yep. Thats teh basis of it.

Valhalla was an agri-world, a lush jewel untouched by hardship. A comet collided with it, and, peculiarly, it didn't disentigrate like it's supposed to. It turned into an Ice-world, mostlikely because it was relocated by teh momentum of teh comet. It was tehn invaded by Orks, loads of 'em, and they won many battles overy the Valhallans. The ice-worlders held out stoiclly, though, and, jsut before the Orks overran teh foodvats, tehy devised a plan to collapse the undergroud hive wall on top of them. They were saved from a long, painfull death...

Since then, Valhalla has recovered, tithng regiments to fight the Enemies of the Emperor all over the galaxy...
