Description: Kat is tall for her age, around 5'9", and weighs 142 lbs. She has short black hair that falls to her shoulders, and she tries to keep died crimson most of the time. But her roots usually give her away. Her almond-shaped eyes are an icy blue. Her hips are rather narrow, as a fifteen year old girl's should be, though she is well-developed beyond her years everywhere else. She is extremely pale because of her vampiric half, though she can go outside during the day as she pleases. She has well toned muscles. Her face is thin with high cheekbones and a slightly upturned nose. Her lips are naturally light red. There is a scar about six inches long on her right shoulder from an incident when she was five that she doesn't like to talk about.

She prefers to wear dark or original clothes. Either tight t-shirts with a band logo or a sarcastic slogan on it and baggy jeans, an Amy Lee-ish attire, a hoodie when she goes outside, and occasionally a cigarette stuck in her mouth. She always wears a black cat collar around her neck, and carries a Kuro neko bag, containing her art stuff, whenever she ventures out. In winter, she never wears a jacket. Her French accent is not as noticeable in her voice as it is with her aunt, but it's still there.

Personality: Kat tends to roam from extreme to extreme, emotionally. One moment she will be jovial and eccentric, but will quite abruply grow sorrowful and pensive in the next. She tends to have an ultimately pessimistic outlook on most situations, and is imfamous for her short, bad temper. If she had the choice, she'd surround herself with animals and paint a picture, art being her passion. She is generally an intelligent person, and tends to show it, being often very arrogant- especially towards professors. She is sometimes immature and wild, known for several blasphemous acts such as "TPing," setting off fireworks near buldings, setting fires in various trees and bushes, and smashing gourds in the yards of the innocent. She tends to publicly ridicule anyone who says low things about art or "art freaks" by completly reviling them at the top of her lungs. She is aggressive, though she tends to look at it as "assertiveness." However, she will be quiet as the grave in social situations.

When she's really angry or depressed, she'll start speaking/cursing in French. She'll get really quiet and change the subject whenever anyone brings up the subject of her past, unless they're her really good friend. Which is highly unlikely. When with her friends, she's more like herself- hyper, scheming, fun, cheerful and sarcastic(in a nicer way). She has many enemies, and pretty much does one of two things; ignore them, or start yelling at them if they talk to her first. She loves art above all things(except maybe Nicky XD), writing, reading horror, fantasy and maybe a drama here and there, fencing when she has the time, hanging with her friends, D+D, video games, and chemistry. She really hates dealing with stupid people, or people bugging her about her attitude towards the world, or giving her a label. She does, however, call herself a nerd and a geek, because it's what she is and she's proud of it. But if you call her "goth" or "emo" or something like that and you're standing within her striking range... I suggest you run. Very far away. Like to Canada.

History: Eighteen years ago in France, a witch named Anne deSanne met a quiet vampire named Louis. Anne knew what he was, being a member of the FireSword witches- a strong coven that was started by the now vampiric Rue deSanne in the mid 1700's. Louis knew what she was as well, he himself having existed even longer than the infamous Rue. Still, they soon found after many attempts at killing each other that they were unable to destroy the other. So instead, one night, they met in an alley and just talked. They began to fall for each other.

A little over a year after the two met, Louis came to Anne in the middle of the night and confessed his feelings for her. After telling him that she felt the same, the raven haired witch and golden haired vampire ran away from Paris together.

They lived together happily in a town called Troyes, and had a child together. They named her Jessicka. Frankly, their covens were outraged by this union, even more so by their half-breed child. So, when Jessicka was not even a year old, the witches of FireSword killed Louis. They swore to protect Anne and the child after seeing that her witch side was stronger than her vampiric one.

But one night when they were on their way home from shopping, they were attacked by Louis' old coven. Jessicka tried to escape, but one of them knocked her out. She was five years old.

When she awoke, she was in a house. After wandering about, she was found by a woman looking to be in her early twenties, claiming to be her aunt. After some things were explained, it turns out that the woman is in fact Rue deSanne, Jessicka's great-great-etc grandmother's sister and creator of the FireSword witch coven. Rue was the one who had killed all of the vampires and taken Jessicka to her home. She had been too late to save Anne.

Jessicka lived with Rue from then on, and eventually picked up the nickname "Kat" from her neighbor. She lived a somewhat happy life during her adolescant years, aside from the darkness that she kept locked inside about her parents' deaths. When she was seven she began to learn the piano, guitar, and sing in the school choir. The only things that soothed her from her dark place was her art, at which she excelled, books, writing, music, her cat Zane, and her best friend Nickolas Lawrence, who she always called Nicky. She loves Nicky like an older brother, since hers has been gone for so long.

When Kat turned eleven, Rue got a job at Valerie Academy as a proffessor. Since Kat had no other relatives, she went with her. She excels at magic casting, fighting, psychic abilities and other academic areas. She is still an active member of the FireSword coven, communicating with them on occasion and practicing the Craft daily. She has heard of talk in the coven about naming her High Priestess upon her graduation, but she will most likely decline. She also talks to Nicky whenever she has the chance, both over the phone and through the magic of the internet. She often wishes he was supernatural so he could come to the academy...
