In this day and age, communication between witches and wizards is important! Though modern technology hasn't completely infiltrated their way of life, cell phones are a new fad that's made its mark on popular culture. Of course, owls are still a prominent mode of communication, so don't forget about them!

Diagon Alley
Just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron pub in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street with an assortment of exciting shops and eateries. This is a popular shopping location among all wizards, young and old alike.

Knockturn Alley
Just around the corner from Diagon Alley lies a dark, twisting alleyway devoted to the Dark Arts: Knockturn Alley. It's common for young children to be forbidden by their parents from entering this part of the village. Street vendors line the cobblestone path, selling everything imaginable.

The basic mission of the Ministry is to keep the Muggles from finding out about an entire culture of magical folk. St. Mungo's
Founded in late 1500s or early 1600s by Mungo Bonham, St. Mungo's Hospital is located in London. The Healers at St. Mungo's are trained and equipped to treat a wide variety of magic-related illnesses and injuries. The staff wear lime green robes. The St. Mungo's emblem is a wand and a bone, crossed.

Azkaban
Azkaban is a terrible place. The prisoners there are guarded by Dementors, horrible creatures who have been described as "sightless soul-sucking fiends." They feed on positive emotions, which means that after spending much time in the prison, the prisoners lose all hope and all good feelings and thoughts. They prisoners are forced to relive the darkest, most horrible memories of their lives. Some go mad, others simply despair and die.

Godric's Hollow
Though a Muggle village, Godric's Hollow has a storied wizarding history. For over a thousand years it has been home to notable wizards and witches, and has been most famous as the birthplace of Hogwarts founder Godric Gryffindor. More recently, however, it has become renowned instead as the site of Voldemort's first downfall. Since his final fall, it's been transformed back into a serene community, still a comfortable mixture of the magical and the muggles.

Windsor Castle

Hogsmeade
Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. It's a picturesque village of little thatched cottages and shops. Hogwarts is located quite near the village; a road runs around the school grounds to Hogsmeade Station, where the Hogwarts Express stops to disembark the students at the start of term.

Hogwarts
Hogwarts Castle is a wondrous, magical building with many towers and turrets. It is home to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. If Muggles approach the castle, all they will see is a mouldering ruin with a sign warning them to keep out, that it's unsafe. Hogwarts is built in a forested area, directly next to a fairly large lake, in the highlands of Scotland.
This board is unavailable on normal circumstances. It will be opened for special occasions, such as weddings, ceremonies, etc.
