Blair Cornelia Waldorf is the Queen Bee of Manhattan’s social scene. She really had everything growing up. She was born into high society on the exclusive Upper East Side. Blair’s mother Eleanor is a New York fashion designer and her father is a lawyer who happens to be gay. Even from a young age, Blair felt the need to be perfect. Perfect looks, perfect grades, perfect boyfriend. Everything needed to be the best and if it wasn’t Blair would beat herself up over it. Failure was not an option for her. Since this was so important to her, Blair turned somewhat harsh. She’s not the type to care about other people’s feelings or anything like that. All she worries about is herself and getting what she wants. No one else is going to get her to where she wants to be, so she can really only rely on herself.
<P>Even though most in her life was seemingly perfect, Blair always felt a bit insecure with her status and herself. This is one reason why she refuses to fail at anything. It’s just not acceptable for her. In high school, Blair started dating Nate Archibald. She fell quickly for him, but she never let their relationship go much past second base. Even with that department of a relationship, she wanted everything to be perfect. Their relationship was far from perfect though. At least, Blair came to realize that shortly after her former best friend, Serena returned.
<P>Serena and Blair had been inseparable really, at least until Serena just took off without saying anything. After Serena came back, the truth came out. Nate had slept with Serena. That just wasn’t okay and Blair felt betrayed. After much though, Blair ended the relationship with Nate and is currently a single, sixteen going on seventeen year old socialite.
