Breakfast at Greystone, Sat, November 7th 2009

Good Morning from northern California. The thermometer on the back porch read 51 degrees a few minutes ago and we’re expecting temperatures in the 60s today with mostly Sonny as well somewhat windy skies. :rolleyes:

It was a mixed week when you look at it from the standpoint of being both a Maurice/Sonny AND Natalia/Rebecca fan… because we had NO Rebecca at all :( but Sonny, well, he had quite an awesome week. :love:

Monday we once again had no Rebecca… but Sonny was doing what he could to facilitate Carly being found safe and sound.

• Lakehouse. Sonny showed up and asked Alexis to help him find Carly. He told Alexis about Mac arresting Jason on bogus charges and asked her to go to the PCPD and help him. Alexis sent the girls out of the room and Sonny stopped Kristina and tried once again to apologize to her for what she heard at the Metro Court, but Kristina told him to find Carly first, then left. Sonny told Alexis he's to take the blame for Claudia taking Carly, he just needs her to get Jason out of lockup so he can find them. Alexis refused to help. Sonny said Carly doesn’t have time for them to be arguing. Alexis said if Jason finds Claudia, he will kill her. Sonny replied that Jason will save Carly and the baby. She told him to let the police do their job, but Sonny said Carly doesn’t want the police, she wants Jason. Sonny said the system won’t do what needs to be done, then reminded her of how she protected Kristina and only got ProBono work. Alexis then told Sonny that Kristina blames herself for what happened that evening because she thinks Claudia did what she did because of the miscarriage. Sonny asked how she thinks Kristina will feel if Carly and the baby die? He told her a lot of people need her to step up: Her good friend Jax and their daughter. And that she needed to show Kristina that compassion wins over and, most of the time, deep down inside, people are decent. Then he asked her to please get Carly and the baby out of this alive.
• PCPD. Sonny and Alexis showed up at the station and Alexis started trying to get Mac to let Jason go. Mac sarcastically remarked to Sonny and Alexis about Alexis representing Jason. Alexis made Mac admit that he arrested Jason for something he didn't do, then told Mac to let Jason go or she will call a judge, probably waking them up, and they will force Mac to let Jason go. Jason was released, saw Sonny as he came out of interrogation, then quickly left the PCPD without speaking to Sonny. Sonny then thanked Alexis for helping him. Alexis told him he can thank her by backing off of Kristina, that she might not be ready to hear what he has to say right now, and to please let her decide when she wants to be part of Sonny's life again.
• Carly and Jax’ house. Sonny arrived just after Jax told Olivia he was going to go fly his helicopter and look for Carly. Jax asked Sonny if they found Carly. Sonny said not yet, then said he was there to pick up the boys. Jax told Sonny the boys had a very difficult evening and Sonny replied that was why they needed their father. Jax replied that he was the last thing they needed. They argued. Jax blamed Sonny for Claudia taking Carly, Sonny blamed Jax because Jax kept his mouth shut when he has known the truth for a while, and Olivia told them to stop, that the boys didn’t need to hear this. The boys came downstairs and Sonny told them they were going home with him. Jax told Sonny that the boys live there, they are a family and they aren't leaving their home to be with him.

Tuesday we again had no Rebecca, and Sonny was very frustrated trying to do the right thing.

• Carly and Jax’ house. Jax refused to let Sonny take the boys. Sonny wouldn't take no for an answer, said he is the boys' father and told the boys let's go home. They continued to argue about Sonny wanting to take the boys and, when pressed, Morgan said that it isn't their night to visit him and that Carly would want them to be there. Jax tried to get Sonny to leave. Sonny told Jax that while he may be Carly's husband, he has no say where the boys are concerned and not to even think about using the situation to try and take the kids from him. Jax told the boys to go to bed, Sonny tells them to stay where they are, and then Olivia sent them upstairs. Jax ordered Sonny out, and Sonny replied “screw you”. Jax told Sonny he has no claim to the boys because he signed away his rights and if Carly dies that they are Jax' responsibility. Sonny told Jax that he is an outsider and he will never take his sons away from him. Jax says he has no say in the matter. Olivia intervened and took Jax' side. She told Sonny to go home, say a prayer for Carly, and get some rest. Sonny asked how she would feel if someone told her to stay away from her son. Sonny left saying this isn't over.
• Greystone Living Room. Sonny asked if their men have made any progress. Bernie started making excuses, and Sonny told him no excuses, find them! Bernie left.
• Olivia showed up and Sonny asked if she was there to lecture him. She replied if he wants her to she will. Sonny said no thank you, that he’d pass. Olivia was about to leave, but he asked her to stay, then asked her if she thought that Jax was right, that the whole thing is Sonny's fault. Olivia said they all wish they could have done things differently, but this is all on Claudia. Sonny explained to her his reasoning for confronting Claudia publicly, that he thought that she would have no choice but to confess. Olivia talked about what kind of person Claudia is and how she thinks. Sonny said he knew she had a gun, and was hoping she’d point it at him so someone else could take her out in self-defense, but then there’s the collateral damage angle with so many people in the room. Olivia replied that at the end of the day, Claudia is ruthless, devious and crazy, and ultimately a coward. Sonny said that may be Carly's biggest advantage because she is hands down the bravest woman he knows.
• Sonny told Olivia how mad it makes him when Jax tries to keep the boys from him and acts like he is their father. He talked about his relationship with Carly, and that he’s amazed because she isn't the type of woman he usually goes for, but the things that normally wouldn't attract him are what he loved the most, and that a large part of their attraction is that they were both so messed up. He talked about how he was always attracted to fragile women and he thought that came from a need to save them and that had to do with how his mother was treated. Olivia replied with maybe someone to save him. He mentioned Lily and Brenda, but said he loved Carly the most because she is the mother of his sons and he trusts her, kind of like he trusts Olivia. Olivia told Sonny how he has come up in conversation between her and Carly; he wanted to know what they say. She said that Carly loves him and always will, that doesn't mean she hasn't been deeply disappointed in him and angry as hell. But, she sees past all the self-destructive crap to who he is in his heart and soul, and that he is a good man. Sonny told her that he can see how her and Carly get along so well, they are a lot alike. They end up talking about when they were kids and took risks, did dangerous things because they didn't have anyone depending on them. Sonny remarked that they can't go back, and Olivia said they have their memories. Sonny said he wished they had something to hold onto, something real, something lasting.

Wednesday was no Rebecca, but I really don’t know where she’d have gone anyway. ;) But Sonny… yeah, we had Sonny for sure.

• Greystone Living Room. Sonny told Olivia how much he hated leaving the boys with Jax and how scared they were. Olivia replied they were scared because Claudia took Carly. He said that he is the one that's supposed to protect them and he failed to control Claudia when he knew that she was a threat and now his family's paying the price for his arrogance. He then bemoaned that Michael & Kristina saw who he really is tonight when he went off on Claudia. Olivia admitted she would have done worse in his place, he said Kristina saw him as a monster, and Olivia replied that Kristina barely knows him. He said that's another broken promise, that he swore he would never give his kids a reason to fear him. He said that Alexis, Jax and even Carly are always saying that the kids would be better off without him and asked her if as a mother she agreed. The power went out, they got candles, then Jax barged in and announced that he was there for Michael. Olivia told him that Michael wasn't there. Sonny said are you telling me you lost my son? Sonny told Jax he blew a lot of hot air about protecting the boys and asked where Morgan is. Jax said he's with Mercedes, then blamed Sonny for Michael feeling guilty over what happened and for Carly being with Claudia. Jason called Sonny, told him that Carly and the baby were ok and that Sam was bringing them to GH. Sonny said he will tell Jax. Jason told him to bring Max and Milo and come to where he is. Sonny told Jax about Carly going to GH, Jax asked where Michael was and Sonny told him that he has his kid, leave Sonny to worry about his kid.
• By the wrecked car. Sonny showed up, asked if Michael was ok. Michael said he killed Claudia and blamed himself for the situation because he didn't tell Sonny sooner. Sonny said he did good, he stopped Claudia. Sonny told Michael to get in his car, that Sonny was going to talk to Jason and take him home. Michael asked if he's going to make it go away. Sonny told him that he needed to talk to Jason and take care of everything. Michael got in the car. Jason told Sonny that he has taken care of everything so no one will know that Michael was involved. Sonny said he didn’t need to see her, then told him to bury Claudia good and deep, as close to hell as possible, this ends tonight.
• Sonny driving Michael’s car. Michael told Sonny how he knew that Claudia was behind the shooting, how she came to the Institute when he was in the coma. He blamed himself for what happened. Sonny replied if he wanted to blame someone, blame him. Michael said he's not sorry he killed Claudia. Sonny said yes you are, and when you are ready to deal with it, come to me, I'll get you through it. Michael agreed. Sonny hung up his cell and told Michael that was GH; Carly and the baby are fine. Michael told him that everyone wants him to be like Jax, but that isn't who he is, he has seen too much, he's like Sonny. Sonny told him that he loves him and that's why he won't let him in the business. Michael says he took out someone who was threatening his family, how is he any different from Sonny?
• Greystone Gates. Sonny got out to open the gate. As he turned away from the gate to walk back to the car, Maxie saw him from her car parked by Kate’s Gate, and saw that he had a bloody handprint on his shirt from Michael.

Thursday we again had no Rebecca, but plenty of Sonny. :rolleyes:

• Greystone Living Room. Sonny was burning his shirt in the fireplace, and told Michael to go change his clothes and clean up good, especially his hands, then bring his clothes back down and burn them. He explained to Michael that the cops will be asking questions and that's why they have to get rid of the evidence. Michael went upstairs. Jason called Sonny and told him it's done. Sonny hung up his phone, then looked at his wedding ring.
• Sonny was in front of the fireplace when Dominic showed up and filled him in on what happened with Lulu, then told Sonny when he went to GH with Lulu he heard that Sam found Carly and the baby, and asked if there is any word on Claudia. Sonny said no. Dominic asked if he needs help with "clean up" after he sees the shirt burning in the fireplace. Jason came in and Sonny told him that Dominic wanted to know if he needs help with tonight's job. Dominic convinced Sonny to let him go make sure the cabin burned down. Sonny told him where it is and Dominic left.
• Jason asked Sonny how Michael is. Sonny told him, then they talked about how there is no way the cops can get anything on them if the clean up was done right. Jason was worried about Michael. Sonny assured him that Michael is going to be ok and that he will get his son through this.
• Michael and Sonny talked about how Michael feels, kind of cold. Sonny told him that a lot of what he's feeling is adrenaline. Michael said he's used to being pissed off and now he's calm. Sonny told him that he will have times that he feels that he did wrong when he killed Claudia and when that happens to come to him and he will help him. Sonny told him he's grateful that Michael was there to save his mother and sister. They talked about how the coffee business is a front for everything Sonny does and that everything Sonny does affects Michael. Sonny said he wants him to put tonight behind him, get an education, have a better life. Michael says he can learn from him, he built something from nothing, people respect him. Sonny said that people are afraid of him. Sonny said he built all this for him, Morgan and Kristina to have a better life than he had, and be better than him. Michael said “Dad, there’s no one better than you.”

Friday no Rebecca… what else is new on that front? <_< But plenty of Sonny, he really got to tell Jax off good; he spent some quality time with Michael; and some bizarre time with Johnny.

• Greystone Living Room. Sonny was reading the paper when Michael came downstairs. They talked about the media coverage of Claudia's disappearance. Sonny reminded Michael not to talk to the press. Michael asked if the press is talking about Carly. Sonny told him no, it was all about Claudia. Michael saod he wondered when he woke up why he was at Sonny's, then he remembered he killed Claudia. There was then a flashback of everything that happened from when Sonny confronted Claudia until Jason buried her.
• Sonny gave Michael a cover story of where Michael was last night. He told him that as far as anyone was concerned, he was there all night and Sonny lied to Olivia and Jax about it so that there wouldn't be a fight. Michael agreed. Sonny again told him not to talk to anyone but him about what happened and how he feels. Sonny assured him that he won't let him pay for what happened to Claudia because he’s already paid enough.
• Carly and Jax’ house. Sonny showed up wanting to talk about Michael with Jax. He saw Dominic in the Living Room and asked what the hell he was doing there. Jax told Sonny he doesn't need any thugs hanging around his stepson. Sonny told Dom that Michael is at his house, Dominic is to stick with Morgan. Dominic left. Jax berated Sonny for covering up the fact Michael killed Claudia. He said that it was involuntary manslaughter and Michael would get probation and a reduced sentence and that by Sonny covering up that Sonny's preventing Michael from owning up to what he did. Sonny said he didn't come to discuss his son, he wants to talk about Jax covering for his brother. They argued about Jax not telling anyone the truth. Jax said this was all Sonny's fault, if he weren't in their lives, none of it would have happened. Sonny told Jax if Jax would have told him the truth, Claudia wouldn't have been in their lives. Jax told Sonny what a bad father he is for covering up the fact Michael killed Claudia, how he's just doing it so that Michael will be completely dependent on him and that because of Sonny's life, an innocent person (Michael) is going to take the fall.
• Greystone Living Room. Sonny comes in and Johnny was there. Johnny makes it clear he still wants to work for Sonny, then tells him about Joey Limbo still being a threat. Sonny acknowledged that Johnny has always been in a difficult position in the organization, but he always manages to do his job, but he did protect Claudia when he knew what she did. Johnny replied that she's his sister. Sonny said that's why he won't hold it against him. Johnny told Sonny when Claudia set up the hit, she was trying to protect him. Sonny asked what all he knew. Johnny said he knew there was a hit, but not when, where, or who would do it. Johnny tried to convince him that Claudia regretted it all. Sonny said he isn't going to discuss this again. Johnny replied that he needs to know what really happened to Claudia.

Sonny’s scenes yesterday, while well acted by Maurice, had some kind of odd quality to me. They felt like repeats, even though they weren’t. Perhaps that is because most of the impressive and/or memorable scenes were handled by Carly. :unsure: I did like that Sonny was straightforward and honest with Michael and Jax. It did seem that Jax hurt Sonny a little with his words about Michael, but before that, Sonny got some major good shots in. :rolleyes:

Sonny’s scenes with Johnny, while short, seemed to be coming from a place of honesty for the most part from both characters. What will happen? Will Sonny tell Johnny the truth about what happened to Claudia? If Johnny knew that it was Michael who killed Claudia, would that satisfy him? :unsure:

And when, oh when, will we get to see Rebecca again? Soon we’ll be hitting two weeks without her on-screen.

So, what are you thinking today?

Breakfast is ready. Milo has set out Bagels with Lox and shmears, Hard Boiled Eggs, Sausage, mixed berries, yogurt, fresh squeezed orange juice from my tree, and, of course, fresh fruit. Sonny’s Corinthos Breakfast Blend coffee is in the pump pots, as well as hot water. Come on into the Living Room and pull up a chair as we make ourselves at home and chat about Sonny, Rebecca, Emily, Maurice or Natalia… or whatever else is on our minds today. Can somebody toss me an orange? Thanks! :D

Heres how I see it with Johnny... Iffffff it was that Johnny learned the truth about Michael killing his sister... he'd been understanding and know at least WHAT to feel and have his anger directed correctly at Michael... and to add drama to the situation, GH could have went with Johnny going crazy and dealing with Michael via his anger ( similar but different than Claudia did with Krissy) and Sonny dealing with Johnny. But they didn't...... :lame: <_<

Iff it was anyother boy that was in Michaels shoes, I'd say Jax was right about how to handle the situation, but this is THE CORINTHOS and ONLY in our fanfics, would Mac give the benfit of the doubt to them!

Good morning from a Sonny Twin Cities.

I have to start with Carly this morning and that I have loved her the last two days. She didn't just forgive Jax for keeping this secret from her and Sonny, but then when she found out that Olivia also knew she let her have it too. That is called writing true to character and something GH needs to do more often. In actuallity they wrote her and Sonny more true to character more consistantly this week than they have in a long time. I abslutely love that she isn't letting Jax charm his way out of this one and just blame Sonny and her pregnancy as the reasons that he kept this secret all these months. It was because he was protecting his brother and I loved her calling him out that he doesn't love Michael and Morgan. His brother and Jocelyn will always come before them in his book and then the best part was when she kicked him out. :wohoo: :woot:

Now for Sonny he's been great too. I love that he is making it clear to Michael that if he starts having problems he is to come to him and he's going to help him through this. I wanted him to take his gun out and just shoot Jax right between the eyes yesterday. He doesn't see that all of this is his fault because he kept this secret all this time. That if he had told the truth none of what has happened in the last year would have happened because Sonny and Carly would have known who was responsible for Michael getting shot.

I have a question since I haven't really been watching except for the last couple of days again, but does Michael know Jax has known about Claudia all along? If he doesn't I can see him going completely off on Jax when he finds out. I think Michael has controlled himself around him because of his mom's pregnancy, but I have a feeling Michael won't continue to do that any longer. IMO Michael knows how scheming Jax is and I think one of these days he's going to let Jax know and like his dad he will do whatever he has to do to protect his family...that includes not only Morgan, Kristina and now Jocelyn, but his parents as well.

Now I have to mention this, but how rediculous did Lucky look questioning Jason yesterday. GV could pull that off with no problem, but this was like watching a 14 yr old interrogate Jason. This is one of the reasons I don't think JJ is going to work as Lucky again. Look at him with Steve...he's not even close to looking like an adult. It looks like a teenager trying to pull this off and that is why I don't think this is going to work with Tyler either. Not that I am saying anything good about TC, but physically pairing those two up as going against each other, I'm sorry, but TC could squash JJ with one arm.

Where oh where is Rebecca or even Emily. I'll take either one, I just want Natty back on my screen. Also hope her being off this long again doesn't have anything to do with her mom. Hope she is still doing alright.

Well, I'm off. I'm getting my haircut and then going to check out a fall craft fair at a nearby church and then a holiday open house at a gift shop close by also. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Well, what a week, what can I say, all in all all the actors involved all did a amazing job. Claudia is dead, and Michael killed her to protect her mother and his newborn sister. I have no problems with that...but the cover-up is where the real story imo going. I agree with Lucky that no secret is kept buried forever. I wonder who will pay the consequences of this secret... probably Sonny. I also loved Sonny reading Jax once again, I love that he did not allow Jax to try to deflect the blame for what happen on him...and again mentioned that Jax was protected his brother...no Michael or Carly.

I loved how Sonny told Michael that when the time comes he will help him, with the aftermath of what happen with Claudia. Michael right is a bit in denial...but believe me it going to hit him like a ton of bricks...real soon. :huh:

I love the Jolivia scenes yesterday mainly because of Johnny, all his scenes was absolutely amazing yesterday. I cried when he said he wanted to know what happen to his sister :bawling: I believe he knows she dead..he's realistic about that...he just wants the truth. His convo with Michael scares me some, because, the way Michael acted tells me all this is going hit the boy hard when the times comes.

Sonny and Johnny scenes was great too, but I just wonder why don't they just tell him the truth. I feel Johnny understands the business, he knows that Claudia is dead, he just wants some kind of closure. I feel that Johnny will understand and forgive Michael...for what he had to do to protect his mother and sister. But the way the writers are writing this it going to go wrong...more drama I figure.

Carly was great yesterday...I loved her scenes and how she blasted all that knew the secret. I felt a bit cheated though that she seem to let Jason off the hook to easily. We know they are not going to show Carly angry with Jason more then a nano second... :huh: I am sure when the time comes and she and Sonny have their convo, she not going to forgive Sonny as easily...which piss me off.

but you have to remember that Johnny knows the business, and if he was in the same position he would do exactly what Sonny is doing...covering it up. Imo not telling Johnny the truth, is going to make a bad situation worst. But from what we saw yesterday...Johnny told Sonny that he would continue to work for Sonny like always...but he just seem imo to want to know what happen to her...he knows she dead...that's not the issue.

Sonny was beyond amazing this week. Every day left me loving the character all over again. This is the kind of writing that Maurice always knocks out of the park. Give him a good, meaty story and he never disappoints!

I don't know where this story is going for Sonny and Michael. Like Sonny, I don't want Michael turning into him or Jason. :unsure: I love that Michael and Sonny are bonding and Sonny is showing once again that he's a GREAT father. But Michael needs to process what happened and deal with it. I understand why Sonny, Jason and Carly want to cover up what happened at the cabin, but I have a sinking feeling this is going to blow up in all of their faces. First of all, Carly made a HUGE mistake trusting Jax with the truth. He couldn't keep his mouth shut for five minutes! :shut_up: And then there's Jason. He obviously wants to spill his guts to Lucky, and I can see it coming a mile away. Plus you've got Maxie and her "bloody handprint" story spreading all over town. This just doesn't bode well for Sonny and Michael. :unsure: :blink: :unsure:

I liked the way Johnny has handled Claudia's death so far. I find myself hoping that Sonny will be honest with him. I think Johnny will handle the truth alot better than not knowing, and maybe he'll even get his new pal Dante to back off. :rolleyes:

Laura was amazing as Carly this week. I loved seeing her go after Jax with both barrels. He SO had it coming! :shut_up: I was torn about Olivia. I have enjoyed the Carly/Olivia friendship and I don't really want the writers to destroy it. On the other hand, Olivia is still keeping HUGE secrets from Carly, that will directly impact Carly's family. I don't forgive her for that and I'm sure Carly won't either. :angry:

Now, I'm organizing a search party for Rebecca. Anyone want to help? I'll get the tunnels on Spoon Island. Can someone check the dungeons?

My weeks are so jam packed that Saturdays are my only day to catch up on my sleep... which is just what I've been doing until a little while ago. ;)

It sure seems that regardless of our preferences -- other than Maurice and Natalia, of course -- there was something to love and something to roll our eyes over in most of this week's episodes. :rolleyes: Here's hoping there's somebody listening and/or reading and taking our thoughtful comments to heart. :love:

Michael was saving his mom and sister from a raging maniac,

I still say if Sonny would have faith in Mac and The PCPD. This wouldn't have happened. But Mac has never given Sonny or Jason the benefit of the doubt.

I feel bad for Johnny I do think if he knew the truth hhher would forgive Michael.

Carly made mym whole week. Calling Jax on his love for his brother over Michael and Morgan. I loved her standing up for Michael and Sonny.

Then when she wnet off on Olivia. I couldn't believe how great and right on Carly was. I can't wait for Olivia's next BIG secret to come out.
