"I'm not new to the idea of medicine. My mother worked at the hospital closest to my house as a nurse and taught me almost everything she knew. She was in the process of moving into a higher rank at her work when the virus struck. What she never informed me of her medical work I took upon myself to learn by reading the books of information she brought home from the hospital. Once the virus hit, those books were practically my second Bible: I studied them more religiously than the verses in Sunday school -- I figured the facts and practices may become useful soon. My anatomy and physiology class in high school also gave me a bit of experience in the field of medicine -- cat dissections and labs using sphygmomanometers and stethoscopes just reinforced it. While I may not have personally done more than helped my mother stitch up a cut at home or at her work before the virus hit, I practiced with the medical supplies I took with me from my old house on the way to find a new dwelling. I understand the basics of medicine and somewhat advanced First Aid, and I'm positive I'd be useful as a medic." -------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() |
