Hi guys, glad to find a UK MLB forum, but is there any need for a gazillion sub forums? Who is your favourite player...we all have them I suppose, but it makes it sound like its a bunch of 7 year olds chatting!

Its put me off in the past using forums when I'm not sure where to start posting a topic when theres about 15 different sub-forums based around the 1 topic.

Same may agree, some won't but its a forum innit, not going to please everyone.

Thanks.

I imagine is a way to not get the "general baseball" forum cluttered, and a place to put things like retirements, notable stats from specific players.

A few forums seem to be pretty quiet, but surely the more there are, the more topics that can be talked about and discussed.

Welcome aboard any rate, whose your team?

I'm a massive New York Giants fan, but I could never bring myself to support the Yankees, so I'm not really a fan of anyone in particular when it comes down to it. It is Giants/Yankees/Knicks/Rangers and Jets/Mets/Nets/Islanders afterall isn't it? More of an NFL fan but MLB fills the gap in the summer for me with a lack of Football, Soccer and Gridiron variety.

Hi there Gravy,

Welcome to the Forum. Let's hope we can convince you of the supremacy of Baseball. It's one of those games I think where you can enjoy the performances of others as well as rooting of your own team.

In defence of the Mods I think most people on here like the forum split into sections for the most part.

Thee main one which is all about Baseball and only about Baseball is the one to go to and the other well used section is the 'favourite' teams which is split into teams unsurprisingly.

I personally don't use the 'other sports' or 'Fantasy' sections for example so am glad there aren't posts from there in the Baseball section, but it's worthwhile having it for others obviously.

Other sections I think just support that main section, I like to post in the history section but I don't everyone is interested in those posts so can easily avoid them.

Hopefully you'll get used to the style of it and will enjoy it on here.
