I love baseball and baseball photography. One one the advantages of being a season ticket holder for a minor league team is seeing all the top prospects. During the last few seasons I've photographed some of the best when/if they come to town. Here's a few. These photos are from 2010-2012.

Aaron Sanchez - Lansing Lugnuts ('12) - Toronto Blue Jays Number Six Prospect (2012 Baseball America)

Zach Lee - Great Lakes Loons ('11) - LA Dodgers Number One Prospect (2012 Baseball America)

Carlos Martinez - Quad Cities River Bandits ('11) - St. Louis Cardinals Number Two Prospect (2012 Baseball America)

Taijuan Walker - Clinton LumberKIngs ('11) - Seattle Mariners Number One Prospect (2012 Baseball America)

Miguel Sano - Beloit Snappers ('12) - Minnesota Twins Number One Prospect (2012 Baseball America)

Jacob Turner - West Michigan Whitecaps ('10) - Detroit Tigers Number One Prospect (2012 Baseball America)

I have some more but I'll have to dig them out later.

Excellent shots. Especially 2 and 6. What camera/lens combination do you use? I use a 7D and 400mm F F5.6 or 70-200 F4

I do like MiLB. Had a good time at a Cape Cod league game too, didn't have my SLR with me for those games sadly. I'm going to photograph the English lower league version on Sunday (premier league of amateur cricket) at my local team.

British Baseball is not generally very photogenic, but I got a few nice shots - pre 400mm ownership at Bristol Badgers in the west of England.

Thanks.

I'm using a Canon Rebel Xsi and a F4.0-F5.6 70-300mm lens. It works pretty well. It's a pain when the sun goes down or if it's cloudy. Sometimes I'll use a 50mm or 85mm 1.8 lens for up close shots.
