Sometimes a loss should be put on someone other than the pitcher; today's game in Baltimore is a classic example. If anyone should get tagged with a loss it is Barton, who missed two fairly straightforward picks to keep the O's in the game. Credit to the O's hitters for taking advantage though.
The joke is that Melvin only brought Barton in as a defensive substitute!
