There are so many scenarios for who makes the play-offs this year. I am trying to get my head around everything. Bottom line is none of it matters for us unless we beat the Dolphins today. Then we will have to wait until the 9:00pm kick-offs.

So for the Jets to make it, the following has to happen (I think)

Jets Beat Dolphins
Baltimore Beat Bengals
Texans Beat Titans
Either Chiefs beat Broncos or Chargers beat Raiders

I'm not even confident of us beating the Phins, and the Bengals will give Baltimore a good game. I think the Texans will beat the Titans but it's anyone's guess.

End of the 1st Quarter: New York 7-3 Miami/Houston 7-0 Tennessee

Miami took the lead then the Jets marched down the field with some great play by LT and a pass out of the wildcat from Kerley. Sanchez hit Keller with the TD rolling out to the right, and Keller could not have been more open.

Moore was picked off by Cromartie on an under thrown ball.

Jets will have the ball around midfield to start the 2nd and Tennessee are currently driving on Houston.

There is no way that we will beat the Raiders.

Half Time: Jets 10-6 Miami/Houston 10-13 Tennessee

So obviously we need Tennessee to lose which isn't happening. We have had 5 false start penalties so far which is ridiculous. Moore was intercepted with less than a minute to go in the first half, then Sanchez turns it right back over and the FG is kicked. It really should be 10-3 right now.

Lets see how it goes, but i don't expect Houston to win without T.J Yates.

Players don't even look bothered this second half, David Harris is out injured we have absolutely no pass rush and our safeties are a joke. Miami take the lead 13-10 and with the Titans winning as well, it might be goodnight for this year and that might not be a bad thing. Forces change.

Mark Sanchez is an absolute bum! 18 interceptions, 10 fumbles and a completion percentage around 55%. Can't read a defence past his first look, checks down too quickly, decision making is terrible. Still has slight happy feet, doesn't understand when to tuck the football. 3rd year and he looks more of a rookie than Newton or Dalton. angry.gif

Managed to get a TD with the Dolphins playing prevent.

Jets miss the Play-offs for the first time since Rex came to town. There will be some changes this off-season. To protect Sanchez, we'll have to get rid of Schotty. Buys Sanchez another year in a different system. I'm willing to bet his stat line doesn't improve much with whoever we bring in.

Oh yesss

Great way to end the season eliminating the Jets from any playoff chances, although with the Titans winning it didn't matter anyway but still good.

end the year 6-10 which after an 0-7 start is damn good.

Lot to build upon but also a lot of questions and I feel its gonna be quite an eventfull offseason in Miami

Also farewell to Jason Taylor, a great player and sure 1st ballot HOFer in 5 years

Chargers win 38-26. Despite losing at home the Broncos make the playoffs.

Our 6 game losing streak really cost us. We had 2 overtime losses in that period and a couple of other close losses. We probably didn’t deserve to make the playoffs and there could be a lot of changes during the offseason.

The Raiders choke for the last time this season, we should have been 10-6, but our HC made too many mistakes late in games, and our pass defence just wasn't up to it. It doesn't help that the QB we threw away our short term future for wound up throwing more interceptions than TDs. You have no real chance when that happens, heck I'd even rather have Sanchez!!!

The sad truth is though that we are a poor team in a very poor division, I've never known the AFC West to be so weak, not one half decent team in the division. Had we managed to sneak into the post season I'd have been wearing a paper bag over my head for the [expeltive deleted] Stealers game. Hell, I hate them so much I even want the Donkeys to beat them, getting anihilated by them in the first round would have been a terrible start to the year; better to lose to the Chuggers and get the agony over with.

Man i'm grateful to whoever chose to go for 2 points rather than going into OT in the Titans/Texans game....kept our season alive for another few hours at least..

Hasselback was ok for us this season...but i'm thinking/wanting Locker to start next year...and perhaps someone could remind CJ what the hell they're paying all that money for...

Munch done ok ...not bad for his Rookie season...wanting playoffs at least next season..and oh HOW costly was the Colts game...sheesh!

To be fair Tick, I think you need to tell your offensive line what run blocking is. Watched a few Titans games this year, especially earlier on and CJ was being hit in the backfield. Even he can't get away when he can't get back to the los without getting hit.

Ahhhhhhh the beauty of being able to watch NFL...Lol!

I listen to the Titans on the radio and the general consensus this year was that CJ was pretty much lacking...gotta admit i've seen only 2 games (i download them when i can..NFL Game Pass i find an absolute rip-off...and Sky Sports? Hmmm well yes..let's leave it at that) and one of those games was the Colts travesty..

Totally understand what ya saying..but Madden chose them as top protect line in week 4 when they were 3-1..

Maybe next time i'll leave judgement 'till i've seen more games...but CJ was/is still one of the big disappointments for us this year!

What did ya think of Locker? Man the guy's got accuracy on the run dontcha think?

I completely agree with NFL Pass being a complete rip off but when needs must.

CJ has definitely been a little disappointing this season, and Madden was spot on to name them the pass protect line of the week. In fact when it comes to keeping the QB clean, I can't think of many other lines i would rather have. Allowed the 2nd fewest sacks in the league and the 2nd fewest QB hits in the league as well.

However they may be so good at pass protecting because the run blocking leaves a lot to be desired. They are by no means the worst in the league, CJ has to take his fair share of the blame, but I don't think many RB's could have done much with the lack of holes being opened.

I really liked Locker coming out of Washington and I do think he has a bright future. He definitely is good on the move, needs to improve his accuracy from the pocket but I would be confident of him developing into a decent QB.

Yeah Locker's presence in the pocket needs working on...but man he just seems to get away with it..he starts running and BANG a pinpoint pass goes in..but hey..ya can get away with it in College football..you'll soon get found out in the big boys league....

Man don't get me wrong about The Game Pass...absolutely fantastic coverage (as only the Yanks can) but dude i just havn't got the spare time to use it to it's fullest...plus with my American Football i'm actually a lover of the game..so i'm quite happy to listen to Munch's lads on the radio (which is no mean feat let me tell you..lol) as i get plentys of College Football on my beloved ESPN America...
