Rumours are starting to circulate that Birmingham may be after Steve Cotterill. Well we don't have a team, and can't sign anyone, so what's the point of having a manager? rolleyes.gif

Kevin Nolan's having a medical at West Ham. I can't believe we might be getting someone as good as him joining us. He'd be a fantastic signing. We also signed Faye last night which is another good bit of business. Well impressed with Sam so far. If we could persuade Bellamy back for a year we'll take some stopping.

Nolan joing West Ham makes no sense at all from his perspective, dont understand it.

Carling Cup draw this morning, away to Bristol City, brilliant draw that means we will be playing our 2 most hated teams this season.

It's a bit of a strange one, but we've given him a big contract and he gets to play with his old manager again. He seems like a pretty committed player so it's not like we've signed some foriegn mercenary.

Alex, I was sure we'd get Swindon. Di Canio's got to have a game against us this season in one of the cups, it's just got to happen.

You gonna be looking to secure tickets then AC to the Millwall game at the Den? your'e a braver man then me LOL.

Obviously my first port of call will be the Sheffield derby, can't believe the Sheffield derby will be taking place in League 1 but at least its back, we have had a fairly decent record over the past few seasons against them.

Then I'll look for London away trips like Charlton, L.Orient as I usually do our London away games If I can.

I'll look out for Brighton and West Ham too, Brightons new ground opening this season so I'd like to check out a game there at some point and as my step Mum Supports Brighton and West Ham that might be a decent game to go to, tickets though will be hard to get I'd imagine

Haha, I'm not going to the Den! I doubt I'd even be able to get tickets even if I wanted to. It'll just be the home game. From looking on a West Ham forum I think most of our support is looking forward to the game at Brighton.

As usual Lee I shall be an honorary Owl when you play the Blades. There's nothing more I'd like to see outside outside of Millwall and Spurs defeats than you beating that lot.

Are you sure you're not looking on a Crystal Palace forum by mistake, the colours could be confusing you! biggrin.gif

Pfft, they've not got a nice claret and blue kit like us tongue.gif
I think it's more the 'getting drunk, down on the coast' that's appealing, not so much the actual game! Or the gay clubs, haha....

A huge bonus to have the home game so early on. Doubt I'll get a ticket for the return game in March as I'm no longer a season ticket so this first game is the one for me.

Surely the game will moved to a lunchtime ko?  The police won't want the minority of mindless idiots from both sides to get under the influence, although I'm sure trouble will happen regardless.  Been waiting 9 years for this game and now its only 2 months to go, can't wait.

The re-signing of Jason Pearce is making me think again about Cotterill, who I have to admit being unfair to in the past.

It's not that Pearce may or not be a good player, it's his age, I had grown tired of Cotterill's apparent disdain for anyone under 29, so the fact he has signed a 23 year old is encouraging. We need to build for the future, and that means bringing in players who, in theory at least, could still be here and in their prime, in 5 years time.

Our game at S*indon has been moved to Sunday 21st August 1pm. As i can't get a season ticket this year due to university, I have to scramble around for a season ticket holder who isn;t going, and I think I may have one, so should be at the COunty ground.

The return game on March 3rd has been made a noon kick off.

All pretty sensible from Thames Valley Police, first for everything.
