Most of you probably know that Wrigley were the last to install lights and still play limited games at night today.
They did not install lights until 1988 after baseball officials refused to allow Wrigley to host any post-season games without them.
but I didn't know that Wrigley had planned on installing lights for the 1942 season. The lights were ready to be installed, generators, everything. Pearl Harbor happened and the next day, all of this was donated to the war effort instead. It would then be 46 more years until lights finally arrived.
