QUOTE (Leemarlin87 @ Aug 5 2012, 09:10 PM)
Was a brilliant day, London was buzzing and I was at Beach Volleyball when all the athletics drama was going on and it was like a party, conga lines, singing, flags waving, Gold playing over the speakers, London Eye being lit Red, White and Blue with every gold was just amazing experience

Yeah, it's been pretty amazing here this week. If anyone gets the chance they should check out the carnival down on the Southbank, it's really cool, it even has an authentic Freak show and Cyclone! Plus it's the Southbank is just when of the best parts of town.

Wasn't it just typical that despite all the great positive stuff going around, GB still went out on penalties in the football? I don't know if anyone saw Frank Skinner on the BBC3 coverage last night, but he made a great point about the athletes, in general, seem a lot nicer and down to earth than your average footballer, actual role-models and not primadonnas....

Been keeping a close eye on this story....

Don't know what you think?

Seems pretty clear cut on the face of it, and looking at the circumstances - at least as reported in the media - you have to say that he wouldn't appear to have a leg to stand on rolleyes.gif

(bad joke)

Something sounds odd.

Why would a burglar/intruder lock himself in the bathroom? I am up out of bed at least once a night to take a pee, and in over 20 years of marriage my wife has yet to blow the bathroom door off with our fire-arm which we keep in a safe in our bedroom....though I'm sure there must have been many occasions (especially after bad Mets/Isles losses, when I am probably not the world's easiest person to live with) when she has been tempted!
