I watched Gameday earlier and saw all the highlights
You seen the Orton TD pass yet Cubbie? the longest TD play from scrimmage in NFL History with under a minute to go or something like that, really lucky break with the Tip though but the commentator is really funny.
I saw how wide open that Jets TD was to Stuckey LOL the Safeties came up to Blitz and one guy was playing Zone and let Stuckey just go past him but no one else on the D was Playing Zone LOL and he was wide open.

Just seen it and added it Lee, lol now that is incredible luck, and I think the Bronco's needed that one as well. What was chad Oco doing on that interception, looked like he lowered his hands once the ball had been tipped, could of had that back.
Lol told you yesterday that he was wide open, still a TD is a TD. Nice to see Stuckey get it as well, all off-season we have been hearing how we need another receiver, but Stuckey had a nice game. Made another good catch on 3rd down which wasn't shown on the highlight.
Even were playing a little wild cat now, taking the league by storm, think we only ran two plays from it, but one was pretty succesful. Also a shame that they didn't have Brad Smith's 15 yard end aaround on the highlight pacakage

"The ground can't cause a fumble", unless of course you're a Raider! Officials continue to stick it to the Silver and Black, valid TD taken away and we lose by four. How much longer are we going to be punished for the crime of being owned by Al Davis?

Anywhere I can see it Gal, NFL and ESPN highlights dont seem to be working for me right now, and can't find it on youtube. This is what the official had to say about it:
| QUOTE |
| "By definition in our rule book, he's going to the ground and has to maintain possession of the ball throughout the entire act of the catch," referee Carl Cheffers told a pool reporter. "And in this case, he lost possession and the ball hit the ground. Therefore, it's incomplete." |

If he'd dropped it in midair that would be a valid comment, but the ball didn't come out until his hand hit the ground. Evidently the official is being 'talked to' by the NFL, probably being given a slap on the back for screwing Al yet again.
It's something we've come to expect sadly, it wasn't even news to Raider fans when the infamous 'tuck rule' nonsense occurred. Everyone in the NFL hates Davis, and until he goes we'll get shafted at every opportunity, and it's only paranoia if the bastards aren't out to get you!

Will need to see it, your taking it pretty well though Gal, I would be furious, I suppose if it happens as often as you say then you get used to it.
Watched some of the Patriots game last night, wasn't that impressed, couldn't run the ball, the defence couldn't get off the field, some shoddy defending from the Bills let them back in.
Mayo went down as well, they better hope that he is back for Sunday, otherwise the middle of the field will be open even more for Keller.
Nothing I saw last night points to any concrete evidence why the Patriots should just be handed the division this year like the 'experts' seem to be doing. Brady was good down the stretch, but he wasn't very good the other 3 quarters, and against some teams with good defences your not coming back there in the 4th.
Patriots are still a good team, and every game they play they will have a chance, but for the people already crowning them. I think that was a harsh reality check last night.

When your starting QB is Russell, then you probably don't have high expectations anyway, so I was expecting to lose, only realised we'd been done again after knowing the result. Had I been watching live then I would have been seriously angry, again! Watching the Raiders if you're a fan should come with a government health warning!

To take some positives from the game though, Seymour was impressive and Louis Murphy looked handy apparently. Got to like that :D

Our defence did well until our HC made the same one as The Irish HC made, going into [expletive deleted] prevent defence. There's a saying almost as old as me, 'The only thing a prevent defence prevents is victory', so bloody true! I really hate it when a team I support does it, and it always gives me hope when an opponent goes into it.
CubbieDream - September 15, 2009 01:00 PM (GMT)
Tell me about it, I absolutely despise the prevent defence, your basically just saying, were going to let you catch the ball and then hope our defenders can bring you down in the open field. It's total BS, I'm glad that when we were up in the 4th, Rex didn't call for it, we maintained the defence we had been playing all game, which was a blitz pressure, and sure enough, 3 man blitz from the left side, two coming on untouched on Shaub, he has to throw the ball, and he throws it up and Lito comes down with it. Game over.
