My name : James
Age : 28
Born : Feniscowles, near Blackburn, Lancashire
Current location : Richmond Upon Thames, London
Favourite baseball team : San Francisco Giants
Other teams I support : San Jose Sharks NHL, San Francisco 49’ers NFL, Sacramento Kings NBA, Lancashire Cricket Club, McLaren F1 team, Preston North End FC.

Hello lads and lasses. Well I had no idea there was even a baseball forum based in Britain, so this is quite interesting and a surprise to find it really.

So, some basic bio on me, I am 28, and right now I live in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames in south-west London, though I originally come from a little place called Feniscowles, which is near Blackburn, Lancashire, where my family still live. Me and my fiancée have a young son who is now almost one year old, and I am currently working for a friend who runs a web-based online business selling camping and hiking equipment, which I can do from home as its really all PC based work. Until our son was born in March of last year, for almost 5 years I worked as a flight attendant with Virgin Atlantic Airways, and my fiancée right now she works as a flight attendant for United Airlines based at London Heathrow, which is how we first met as she also used to work for Virgin Atlantic, she works mainly on UA transatlantic routes from London to the USA and Canada. My fiancee is American, she’s from the city of Santa Cruz, California, which is about 65 miles south of San Francisco, so that’s where I got my interest in US sports from her family and friends, so I haven’t been an American sports fan for all that long really. We’ve been together now for over 4 years, and on Christmas Day we finally got engaged, and we are getting married in the summer of 2013, probably in Santa Cruz. I’m into most sports, I went to my first Giants baseball game in June of 2007, and have probably now been to around 10-12 games at AT&T Park, I also once went to a game at Yankee Stadium in 2009 during a stop-over in New York. I've been to two 49'ers games, vs Jacksonville Jaguars in 2009, and vs the St Louis Rams in 2010, but so far only one San Jose Sharks and one Sacramento Kings game. I get to spend quite a bit of time in the Santa Cruz and San Francisco areas during the spring and summer when we go there for holidays, or just to visit her family. I don’t know a huge amount about what goes on in other baseball divisions outside the NL west to be honest, though I am learning, so whenever I post I shall probably mainly just stick to what I know rather than put my foot in it, if you know what I mean. My other main sports interests are footie, cricket, rugby league, golf, and F1, I’m a very big fan of Jenson Button and I have a big ambition to meet him. Anyway, nice to be here, hope there’s some other Giants fans around, for now here’s some pictures of me and my fiancée which were taken at a Giants game at AT&T when we were over there on holiday.

Welcome James. I have been to AT&T park a couple of times, but as an Oakland Athletics fan i spend more time on the East side of the bay, usualy manage a trip a year to the Bay and stay in San Francisco, except for last september where i stayed near the colissium. I love the bay area.

Welcome James,

Jealous of your frequent visits to San Fran, AT&T is beautifull as in San Fran by the looks of it.

Hoping to visit the west coast in 2013 and take in San Fran, San Diego & Seattle myself.

Hi again. Sorry I haven't been around since I joined, all work and no play etc LOL But thanks for the warm welcome from you, I will try to do better from now on. Seems like quite a few of you have been to SF to games.

James
