Dylan had got himself set up in his apartment now, even if it was with the help of his Father. The time had now come to make it his own properly, the usual boring stuff, food, bathroom stuff, what he wanted to do was shop for his gathering he had planned. Some of his pals from back home were in the area and some were coming to stay state side for a break and to party of course. He had even over the years made a stable bunch of friends iin the US also and they were all looking forward to another of his renowed parties.
All that was needed now was alcohol, a few hot ladies and something to top it of with. Rex one of bhis close mates had got a few tabs he was bringing, but he had already used a fair amount of his coke he had brought in to celebrate with in his new pad, so more was needed. For now though he had chosen to pick up so new threads for the night and was just grabbing a cup of the black stuff before continuing.
Being a man of particular taste he knew that a mall was a good place to talent spot, so with his seat chosen and cooffe in hand he sat and observed the women go about their ritual shopping expeditions, when his cell went off. Taking it out of his jacket he quickly read the message and smiled, Vicky was coming, well if he couldn't find any talent here at least he knew she would be up for some fun. Smiling to himself he continued to drink and watched.

Allen was wearing a really technicolored shirt with a large smiley face in the middle. This meant that Allen woke up generally happy. He had very little shirts and since he was able to save his money a bit, he wanted to use it to buy him more shirts... and pants... and other things. Okay, so he needed to fill out his wardrobe a bit because he had next to nothing and had to do laundry every few days. It was almost sad.
Allen was generally friendly, and waved at random people. He got lots of rude stares, and most often, he would get someone waving back at him, however in a less sophisticated manner, as they only held up their middle finger.
Allen passed by Dylan, and as usual he gave his random wave before stopping to check out watches that were on display nearby. They were on an everything must go sale on a moving cart that an employee was moving from place to place. Allen picked up and inspected an orange one.

Allen inspected it. It wasn't digital, but that was okay. He didn't feel like he should be lazy when it came to telling time. He liked to be able to take pride in knowing how to do menial things. He fished out some money and bought the orange watch he had picked up a moment ago. It had the usual second, minute, and hour hand, but it also had a small dial on the right that controlled an internal alarm. The seconds were also displayed on the left in a small digital reading, despite being an analog watch. It was fancy to say the least, and it was cheaper than it would normally cost him.
"Well, I found this neat little watch," he said, putting it on his wrist. "Do you happen to have the time so I can set it correctly?" Allen asked. Allen didn't have a previous watch to reference to, which was why he asked the man beside him. As usual, Allen was being friendly and was using that strange low voice that sounded like it could be compared to the sweetness of honey.
It was always a strange meeting when someone met Allen. He was indeed unusual, and he wouldn't say otherwise. He was quite sure he was unusual. In a place like this, it was a wonder that he was one of the very few people that could still wear a smile... only it seemed that Allen smiled so often, that he was the only person in the city that actually kept track of when he stopped smiling. He even imagined an amusing mental image of himself sleeping with a smile on his face.

Ooh, red was a nice colour too, but Allen preferred orange because that was more of his colour. It was hard to explain, but it was like his theme and without that theme there wasn't an Allen, and without an Allen, then who would he be?
Come to think of it now, even his guitar was a plain color with an orange finish on it.
Setting his watch to the appropriate time, Allen put it on his right wrist and began to think. "I think it's down over there," he said pointing to the south east corner of the store, "but you might want to check with a cashier or service guy..."
