week seven! ~november 3 ~UPDATESHello, everyone! You'll notice that the month we live in has changed, but it hasn't on site! Just a reminder, Site Time definitely moves more differently than Life time….and yes, Lisa and I can be bribed with wonderful things to make months change.
SPEAKING OF MONTH CHANGES, IT IS NOW NOVEMBER. Which means it's NaNo. My favorite. not.. SO. While we recognize that you all might be doing other things, please don't forget about This isn't Goodbye! If your posting slips, I may or may not be coming after you with a fork. Just be aware! Be around. Even if you can't post regularly, show up in the cBox. Have an owl or two.

Also, we've recently completed our first activity check--cool, right? Just so you're all aware, we won't be having activity checks monthly. They'll pretty much happen every month and a half so look for the next one to happen sometime around the beginning of december!
This isn't Goodbye's halloween event is officially open--you can now sally forth and have your characters post in any of the five subforums created for the party! You all should have gotten an email with some of the specifics: If you didn't, don't hesitate to message Elle or Lisa for pertinent details if you're feeling confused by it.
Just a reminder, we're trying to set up a fun sitewide event for all of us OOC. No, it's not as corny as you think it is, I swear! It's basically going to be an online version of Apples to Apples. If you don't know what that game is, essentially….it will be glorious, because we all have very strange senses of humor.
You can let us know when you're free ON THIS SITE HERE…and even if you don't sign up for it, don't think you escape us! We'll likely hound you with random AIM messages if you're around. ;D Don't be shy, now!
Another beautiful piece of information is that Tay (James Potter&Matt Finnegan) has willingly stepped up into helping us out with advertising. She's going to be wrestling that the beast that is our masterlist, among other things.

Finally:
We are instituting a ban on non-canon gryffindor characters. This will be removed once we have at least two hufflepuff characters, three ravenclaws, and four slytherins. This means we need a total of four new characters. Note, characters like Remus Lupin or Peter Pettigrew will still be accepted-but any of the obscures will not. UPCOMING THINGS AND THINGS TO DOWell, as we told you a while ago: Surveys are going to start being a regular part of our site culture. Lisa and I love the feedback, and we think that it's most comfortable for you guys to have it offered anonymously.
This new survey is going to be the "GIVE YOUR ADMIN A REPORT CARD" survey. Among other things. At the very end are nominations for the Of the Month voting--it isn't the actual awards voting, but this way you guys get to let us know who you want to have up on the ballot! Please go take it HERE. Or, click on the button at the top of the site. Both work.
I'm going to be working on some additions to the Fun Facts page in the next week or so (When am I not?) So if there's any information you'd like to see explained or covered, please touch base with me and I can see if I can get it up there! OPEN THREADSWe have an open thread starting the Halloween event here that you're welcome to join--it may end up being a large "group" role-play, so less of a posting order.

We're really looking for some more members, and it'd be excellent if you all could help us find them!
Pleasepleaseplease do make sure you're on all of our signups. Contacts & Who's Who are the two that people constantly seem to neglect. They're up there for everyone's convenience. Please participate in them!
Posting is always an excellent thing to do. We have a few open threads around, so even if you're not having trouble staying active, those are fun to look into--or put up an open thread of your own! You never know who you'll 'meet' through those.
Our "wanted character" list is there for your use. If you have a character you'd like to see join, fill out the form and we'll put it up! It doesn't even have to be for a centralized plot, on your part.
If you guys take a look around the site & see something that we missed cleaning up from a member that's deleted, feel free to PM us or post it in the "admin request" section. We're trying to stay uncluttered!
We also have a few threads around that we'd like you to post in-in Requests&Suggestions there's two threads ("Why TIG" and "Forum Changes") that we'd like your input on--there's also a "TIG Birthdays" page in Chitterchatter. If yours isn't up there, please post so we can add it!
