Aleid loved arriving to a new town. New towns meant new people and new people meant that Annie didn't have to work so hard. Sure, so long as they kept moving there would be a surplus of people, but the ideas were hard. Folks were suspicious by nature so the scam had to be believable. If it was too elaborate or too simple it wouldn't work. And if it didn't work, they could go to jail. Screw that, they would go to jail. Especially with the nosey Hollow Earth Military poking around. As it was Ally had been thinking about their predicament all day. She had gone to school - and she had been so excited - but durning her "slow" moments (i.e. Math class) she really had thought about scamming. And she came up with mineral water. People liked that, right? For her plan all they would need is pretty bottles and a hose. It would promise to be "mountain fresh mineral water" but really be regular hose water. Brilliant. Or at least she thought so. Hopefully Annie would too.

She popped into their little camp grinning. The wooded area near this lake was comforting. It made her feel like Annie and herself were hidden away from everyone and guarded by the trees. She didn't see her sister straight away so she called out in a sing-song voice,"Annie! I'm back from school...where are you? I'm hungry...and I have something to tell you."

Annika hated moving to a new place. It meant she had to come up with a new scam, and a new way to make sure Ally was provided for. At least she made sure the teenager went to school in whatever town they ended up in. Even if the girl did end up missing tons of days, she wanted Aleid to get an education. It was something she would need if she were going to make her own living once Annika was no longer able to help her. She had been racking her brain all day to think of what scam they hadn't tried yet. It was more difficult being a grifter than people gave them credit for. They couldn't pull the same scam more than twice, and never within two years of each other. At least, those were two of the rules Annie had come up with. She had an entire list of rules to help the two from being caught.

Ally's voice distracted Annika from her work of looking over the map of Roswell that she had managed to lift from someone in town earlier that day. "I'm back here," she called out. She wondered what the 'something' was that Ally had to tell her. "You can get your own food. You're a big girl, remember?" Annie grinned once Ally was in view.

Ally pouted slightly. Here she was returning from a hard day of school - and scheming - and she had to make her own snack? Uncool. Oh well. She'd tell Annie her brilliant scheme, then convince her sister to make her a snack. Her stomach could at least wait that long. Maybe. "Big girls like to be waited on sometimes too. Beisdes, don't you love to baby me? Trying to help here Annie." She wandered over to where her sister was seated, curious as to what had been holding her attention. A map? Boring. Maps made her think about leaving, and they'd just gotten here. "Aren't you going to ask about school? Or homework? Or the super-duper awesome idea I had in math class?" She poked her sister's arm, "Some MILF you are. Not even asking about your stand-in kid's day. Shame on you."

"Sure, sure," Annie said offhandedly, her attention back on the map. She wasn't intentionally ignoring Ally, but she was in a thought process, and wanted to make sure she finished it before she got distracted by something else. "Sorry," she finally said, looking up from making a mark on the map. "You had something to tell me?" she asked, seeing the look Ally gave to the map. "Oh, don't worry. It's not for leaving this town," she said with a little smile. "I lifted it so we could at least get a better view of the town, and I have a pretty good idea on how to get a house, instead of living in this little camping site in the middle of fucking nowhere."

Annika sighed down at the map, leaning back in her seat before she looked back up at the girl. "You really shouldn't call me a MILF in front of people, so be happy you can do it here at 'home'." There was a little twinge of pain at Ally's words, 'stand-in kid'. Aleid was much more than Annika's 'stand-in kid'. But she couldn't tell her that. Not now, not when they lived like this. The girl was fine thinking Annie was her sister, so she would leave it like that. For now. "How was school? Do you have any homework? What is this super duper idea you have?" she asked, as Ally told her to.

A house? Ally could hardly contain her excitement. A house meant staying for a while. And anything, even a damned outhouse, was better than sleeping outside. Okay, so maybe not an outhouse...but still. A house would fit in brilliantly with her plan. This way they could use their "own" water. Less chance of getting caught that way. No one would fault them for using their own water, would they? Annie would know. "A house? Really? With...maybe a real bed? Oh my god. You are the greatest!" Ally hugged her sister tight, all traces of her previous irritation gone. If getting a house was on the table, she could definitely deal with a little less attention from Annie.

Though, being told to ask key questions, then parroting them back was a little uncool. She sighed, "School was awesome. I really missed it...I mean I didn't think I had, you know? Even math was almost interestimg. And yes, I have homework. An unnecessary amount and I'll get to it after my snack." She grinned. Now for the cherry on top. The scheme. "Minneral water."

Annika smiled, hugging Ally back. "Yes, a house. With a real bed. Fully furnished, if my plan goes well. Which it usually does," she added with a little grin. Not that she was cocky, but she did obsess over the smallest of possibilities so that her plans did work, and not fail to blow up in her face. Her life wasn't the only one that was at stake with her plans. And she wasn't about to let Aleid get in trouble for her failures.

Of course Ally had missed school. She had always been one for learning, quite the opposite from Annie. Learning wasn't her thing, unless it was something useful. "There is some fruit in the tent," she said, waving a hand at said tent. Then she arched a brow. "Mineral water? Please do explain."
