Treasure hunting, CIAN/BRI

Bauble hunting was definately one of Carma's favorite pastimes. She loved sparkly and/or shiny things. Sometimes she put the things she found in her shop...but that wasn't really her goal for today's trip. No. Today's trip was purely for her own amusement. Bur trwasure hunting just wasn't as fun if there wasn't someone to split—or in this case fight over—the bounty with. And for that she needed Cian. Her dearest and bestest cousin. His eye for pretties was almost, almost as good as hers was. So she decided that he alone could make this outing perfect. And of course he would come with her...because they lived by the same rule, glitter trumps all.

So here she stood awaiting outside his abode after just having knocked on his door. She bounced slighly on her toes...eager to be on her way. "Cian? Cooooouuusssiiin? Come out, come ot wherever you are..."

pending the day sewing as he usually did, well, whenever he wasn't out being distracted by other things, he had stabbed himself with a needle at least 4 times. Not that it honestly mattered though. He was having fun, and the blood gave his sequins an odd color. He was quite a fan of these cherry colored sequins. He perked up immediately when he heard someone at the door. It was his cousin. He nearly let out a squeal as he leaped from the ground and darted to the doorway, slipping and falling on a randomly placed roller skate in the middle of the floor. ”SHIT! One second Carma!!” He scrambled to get back up off the floor. He had somehow added a lampshade to his ensemble as he opened the door, and grinned wide at Carma. ”Well What've we got 'ere, mmm?”

Worry crossed Carma's face as she heard crashing and Ciian's exclamation. She held back he rebuke for his distaste in language and prayed that he wouldn't lose his hair...just this once. Her sister, Petal, had often told her that if a person swore, thwy'd lose their hair and teeth. And of corse, Carma believed her! Petal had no reason to lie-and she was a bit smarter than Carm at these things- so why wouldn't she? But surely, just this once there would be an exception.

Carma was a bit startled when Cian opened the door. She wasn't sure if that was a lampshade on top of his head or if it was a new sort of hat. Whatever Cian had been going for she was quite certain he'd missed. Afterall, if the thing was a hat....it looked dreadfully close to a lampshade. And no one, except Cian, would wear it. "My dear cousin, what's that on your head?" She tried not to laugh, but one escaped her, "I've come to rescue you, Cici."

here was usually less between him and the doorway, but today had been crazy already, and it had only just begun! He looked through the door, and grinned wide before feeling on the top of his head. "Well, it seems so! Fancy that!" His hand grabbed the lamp shade and he tossed it off in the direction of a nearby lamp. "I fell and it ended up on my hat it seems." He grinned and pulled the top hat off his head and scratched his scalp as he moved his hair around slowly.

"Oooooh, a rescue mission. How terribly intriguing. Knight in not so shiny armor... Seriously you need to add some sequins to that, it looks horribly drab." He grinned and reached out to pull her into a hug before looking down and pulling one of his usual faces. "So where is it I'm being stolen away to? Anywhere exotic?!" He couldn't help but laugh and grin wide at his cousin. Really, to him she was more like a sister.

Carma giggled. She rather liked the lamp shade. It was original. Too bad it wasn't pink and covered in sequins. But Cici should be careful. He could hurt himself, then what would she do? She certainly couldn't dream of fixing him and a life without him wasn't even worth thinking about. They were cousins. Cousins were meant to stay togethe. She pushed tje sad thoughts away. These weren't the thoughts that she should be having. Not ever, but.especially not on bauble-hunting day. "Be careful, would you? If something were to happen..." She shook her head, unable to continue.

She was glad when Cici prattled on about rescue missions and drab knights. She frowned whe he called her drab. Not fair. She didn't inherit his talent with needles. She much preferred her chalks and paints. However, her dress was far from drab. Hot pink and ruffly, it might not have sequins but it had plenty of glitter. As she was engulfed in a hug she muttered, "Drab? Are you kidding, Cian? Maybe you hit your head when you fell. Glitter trumps sequins. And we're going bauble hunting. C'mon. We're already late."

e was incredibly glad that he hadn't actually hurt himself. That wouldn't have been good. It was bad enough that he had to pry the lampshade from his hat. Luckily he hadn't damaged his hat. If that were to happen, he would have ended up crying probably. He loved his hat. It was pretty and black, and covered in lace. He knew it needed something shiney and sparkley to add tot he front of it, something that simply screamed 'LOOK AT ME WILL YOU?!' Because that was the majority of his attire in general. ”I'm careful! I'm always careful, Carmy!” His arms wrapped around her and he laughed some at her reaction to glitter trumping sequins. ”Sequins don't get in your eyes though...” He paused a moment, pulling away from the metaphorical cloud of glitter that always surrounded her. ”OH! Really?! I was wanting to get some feathers too! And of course something to add to my hat... Maybe feathers and glitter should be added to it. What do you think?” He started to dust his hands off of the glitter that he had acquired during their hug, and dusted them off up over his head, praying that it would settle on his hat. There was nothing more fantastic than sequins, but glitter ran a close second.

Sequins were in no way better than glitter. If anything, sequins were wanna-be glitter. Not that she didn't love them, she did, bit glitter was ten trazillion times better. Glitter you could share. Even if that person didn't want to share. What topped that? "Sequins wish they were glitter." She smirked at him slightly. There. Let him beat that.

When he pulled away from their hug, she studied his hat. Yes. Glitter and feathers would be smashing. Especially...peacock feathers. She loved those. She nodded and tugged on his arm, "Yeah! That'll be lovely. Let's go."
