A new pack of wolves had entered the town of Newrose, ME and right away, their Ulfric threatened the long-established Dionne pack. Unknown to the human community, there was a war brewing between the two packs; a war to run the town, leaving the other inhuman beings to take sides. It was safe to say that most of the two packs hated one another. But they were not all like that. Some found a strange sense of comfort with the members of the so-called enemy. But was thing was certain: This means war.

Out of all the things that had changed throughout the many years that Katarina had been alive, schools were the one thing that didn't really change. They looked more modern these days and had technology. They also had more classrooms but the institutions really did look the same. There was that stuffy air about them that just reeked of boredom. Kat found herself feeling relieved that she didn't have to go through such a tedious yet boring task. She already had the knowledge of the world. Things she had learned from traveling the entire world, these things that simply couldn't be taught in a classroom. It was the difference between book smart and street smart as they said these days. Some things just couldn't be taught in a classroom environment. The children had to go out into the world and experience it. She believed that the kids should have more field trips into the real world so they could learn how to live in it. She'd watched many a human fail because they didn't have the correct knowledge. She supposed she could do something about this if she really cared about the matter. She was the Master of the City, she should have that sort of power. She could easily influence the school board to see things her way. The only question was did she have the time to do so? Possibly.
She sighed softly as she walked down the hallway of the school, her heels clicking on the floor. She inhaled and could smell every flavor of human blood that had ever been created. She could smell every single student in this place. She could hear their heart pump the blood through their systems. She could hear every pulse. She could almost taste their blood. So delicious. She was in complete control of course and was perfectly safe to be around others' children. She had mastered control over the thirst a very long time ago. She stopped in the empty hallway and closed her eyes. She focused on every smell she detected. Yes, there were many humans here. There were also lycanthropes. She could smell the animalistic hint in their blood. She tilted her head a little as she followed the scents in her mind. Ah, yes. He was here. She knew he would be. She supposed she could have used other senses to find him. As the Master, she just had to think about one of her vampires and she would know where they were. She supposed her inner predator just got off on using her sense of smell. Her eyes opened slowly, a smirk on her lips.
She started walking forward when the bell rang and students tumbled out of classrooms. She felt eyes on her immediately. Yes, she was used to that. She was one of the most beautiful creatures on this planet. Being stared at was just part of the job description. She laughed softly as she felt the desires of the many teenage boys rise to the surface. Yes, they wanted her. Most of them didn't seem to have the guts to say something to her but a select few did. They called out to her, called her sweet names, used more vulgar talk but she shrugged their words off. She could have any of them if she wanted. They just wouldn't be able to handle her. She told them just that but she knew that wouldn't convince them. Again, the predator inside her challenged her to prove it to them. Unleash the ardeur on them and make them do things they had never dreamed of doing. Again, she had more control than that now. She just shook her head, still smirking, and walked on. She had somewhere she needed to be.
She approached Atlin's classroom and knew it was empty of students. She made sure her dark green dress was in place before walking into the room. She spotted him and smiled. She shut the door behind her, not wishing to be interrupted. She didn't think anything inappropriate would happen but you never know. She tucked some of her wavy hair behind her ear. "Atlin, mon chéri, it is good to see you. It seems like it has been far too long, wouldn't you agree?" Her voice was warm, caring. She did truly care very much about her coven. She protected them fiercely. While she did care about this man, she was also here on business. "Do you have a moment before you are called upon to enlighten these young minds?"

Atlin was grading a few papers, most of which were scratched with dark red F's, on the topic of the Greek Pantheon. It was a simple enough subject, and the work was multiple choice. It was always amazing to see how very little the kids paid attention. The Vampire could only stop and look into the hallway as he caught the scent of someone familiar. His brow arched as he stood up and leaned against his desk, facing the door, awaiting his guest to come. It wasn't a scent he could forget, nor one he wanted to. While he wasn't sure why she had come to the school, he could assume his Master needed a favor, or perhaps something more. He had only joined the Coven under the pretext that it would allow him to keep a closer eye on the relations between the races. He couldn't imagine keeping to himself and trying to maintain the peace as well. He knew what the Coven master was, and it bothered him, but at the same time she did care for her people.
Atlin had never really gotten used to her powers, and didn't much like what they did. He had never been one for manipulation, let alone the hobbies of a Succubus. It didn't take long for her to reach his room, and it was apparent that she was going to want to talk in private, given her choice in clothing. " It's has indeed been a while." He responded with a smile as he bowed his head slightly in greeting as she closed his classroom door. He waved his arm to the side, motioning to a chair in front of his desk that she could sit in. " Please, have a seat. " He turned and walked behind his desk, cleaning off the Blackboard as he spoke again. " It's my free period, we have about Forty-Five minutes." He continued, as he finished clearing the Blackboard of diagrams concerning the Greeks.
He stood in place, thinking for a moment as he pushed his papers to the side, clearing room on the desk for their talk. He didn't know what Kat wanted, but he knew what her 'talks' could lead to when she wanted. It was the first time Atlin had been in a Coven since the early Thirteen Hundreds, and he would be the first to admit it was an odd Coven at that. The Master, Katarina Isadora Stone, had the ability to feed via sex, and didn't particularly need blood like most Vampires. Atlin himself had made a deal with a Hospital out of town that allowed him access to a supply of Blood Packets, and he thought that was odd enough. He turned to look at his guest and smiled once more, it was an unusual place to seek him out.
" And to what do I owe this pleasure?" He asked, trying to find out what it was she wanted from him more than why she had come to him. Atlin could assume it would be more than catching up on lost time, he knew better than to think so naively. There weren't many that could claim to have lived as long as Atlin had, even fewer that could claim a longer life. Katarina was one of the latter, and was a full century older than Atlin. To him, that meant little, but for the Vampiric food chain it meant everything. Being the eldest she was arguably the most powerful Vampire around, though Atlin wouldn't mind being the one to face her in battle if that day ever came. Arrogant as he was, he knew better than to outright disrespect his Master.
She would be an idiot to say that Atlin wasn't attractive. He was indeed very easy on the eyes. She was very much aware of the attractiveness of other people. Again, part of the job description. When one fed off of sex, it was important to keep track of who you would sleep with and who you wouldn't. When it was time to feed, it was usually nice to have people around that you were attracted to. Not that the ardeur cared if you were attracted to them or not. It created pure, unadulterated desire. It wasn't about who you liked and who you didn't, it was about that carnal desire to be one with another person. Yes, Katarina knew everything about her power now. It had taken time to learn everything but learn she did. It was a necessity if she was to control it. She believed you had to know every little detail about something before controlling it.
He didn't seem less than pleased to see her. That was good. She wanted to be loved by all her coven as she loved them but she understood that others may find her offensive. Some vampires came over with such prudish beliefs. It was awful. He offered her a place to sit which made her smile at him. Not that she expected any less from him. Atlin had always seemed to have good manners. She ducked her head briefly and then allowed her eyes to flash to his. "Always a gentlemen. I must admit, your lovely male students could learn a lot from you. I'm sure you could hear the commotion I caused out there. Such vulgar language to be directed at a lady." She smirked and the irony in the situation was not lost on her. Some people would find it ironic that a succubus was speaking about vulgar language. She had used such dirty words herself in the heat of the moment. The only difference was those words used to be kept strictly in the bedroom. A true gentleman wouldn't dream of saying such things out in public to a woman. These days it seemed that it was strange for a boy to not say such things. Strange how the times changed.
She nodded as he said he had time for their talk. Good, very good. She wasn't sure exactly how long this would take but she did enjoy talking to her children as she referred to them. She was certainly the oldest of all her members so why not call them children? Her eyes took in the information that he was erasing off the board. She laughed softly. "I always found the Greeks very interesting. Their culture, their religion, everything. It is also amusing to try and discuss religion with people these days. You go to these Catholic priests and say a word about a polytheistic religion having some merit and they look at you like some sort of heathen. These people are so close-minded." She shook her head a little. The closed minds of modern people was very irritating to her. They didn't know what they were missing out of by not opening their minds to other ideas.
Yes, it was a pleasure. She hoped it was pleasure for them both. She enjoyed these moments with her coven. She smiled at him, her expression honest. She wouldn't try and trick him. No, he was too intelligent for such nonsense. She also didn't really like to manipulate coven members. She wanted them to do things for her because they wanted to, not because she had tricked them into it. "Well, I have two things to discuss with you." She paused for just a moment as she decided which topic to bring up first. She settled on the easier one. "The first is a thought I had on the way over. I was thinking about schools and their curriculum these days and find it a bit....lacking. I feel as if these kids are not learning what it truly is like in the real world. They receive all of this book knowledge and are forced out into the world with no idea really what to do. I feel as if something needs to be done to teach them more about street smarts, as they call it. Such potential shouldn't be set up to fail." She wasn't really sure exactly how to go about fixing that but she wondered if perhaps Atlin had an idea.
The second topic was one that she didn't mind speaking about but she wasn't sure how he would react. She looked into his eyes for a moment and decided she would be completely up front with him. She felt like he expected no less. "Now, the second order of business. You remember Elijah yes? He has just been called away to aid another Master. This leaves me one man short. So, I am offering....the pleasures of what my powers can do. As I'm sure you know, I cannot feed on one person too many times." Yes, she was basically asking if he wanted to have sex with her so she could feed because she truly was one person short in her schedule now. "By no means am I forcing you to do this. I've never been accepting of rape or things of that nature so the choice is yours. I can go elsewhere but first, I ask those that I trust if they would be willing."

Atlin could only chuckle a bit as she commented about his manners, and what he could teach the students about them. If only he could, but he attended several schools, as well as being a Knight of the Realm. He had spent the better part of a century serving various Kings as a Knight or Chevalier. His mannerism hadn't diminished since that time, and he enjoyed the looks he got when speaking in the old way. By nature, Atlin was a killer, a demon in a man's skin, and thats truly what he believed. Since his time in Japan during the Meiji Restoration, Atlin had nothing but fowl thoughts about his existence, and Vampires in general. This of course, would not corrupt his outward etiquette. He was far to good at being a Chevalier to ever allow his personal interests to interfere with the tasks assigned to him by his current Master. " My knowledge doesn't belong to this generation, nor would it be accepted if I taught it." He explained with a sincere grin as he sat in his chair behind the desk. As he thought about the likely hood of Kat's reason for paying him a visit, she began to talk on the subject of a lack of teachings. It was interesting that she of all people would bring it up, but could see why. She was a good deal older than him, and may have seen more, though he wasn't sure how much of it was schooling.
" Indeed, schools haven't changed since early Nineteen-Sixteen when America started it's trek toward modern civilization. I'm afraid there's little that can be done for the other teachers, but I treat my class as I would a group of friends telling stories of old. " He laughed as he shrugged his shoulders and sat back in his chair. " In all honesty, I ordered my students to burn their History Books. They had nothing but politically correct hog swallow in them, and insulted the people I knew from the era's depicted. Perhaps you should become a teacher as well, I've not seen everything, you would surely have interesting stories to tell that I didn't experience." He joked near the end, adding that Kat should reform from the Coven and join the Teachers Union. Atlin was known to bring this up to most all Vampires he met, his way of trying to change the public's eye on the monsters that Vampires were. As Atlin's thought began to wonder he was snapped back to the conversation as quickly as he had lost himself.
It was easily to pinnacle of the day, his Master, a Master Vampire, offering him the supposed honor of feeding her. If he was a lesser man he may have accepted in a heartbeat. She was a beautiful women, that much was painfully obvious. She walked with an air of sexual elation that sent people into a pathological euphoria. It was an extremely amusing situation, being at a High School, where he urged kids not to have sex to early. He could have cut the irony with a knife it was so thick. " I see. That is a predicament. Hmm. " He stood up and walked to the wall near the classroom door, pressing the call button on his intercom. " Mary, tell his royal pain in the ass I'm taking off early today. Have my last two class go to Morris' room, he's on the same chapter as us. I'm not feeling to well." He spoke in a arrogant, boastful tone as the women on the other end confirmed and wished him a fast recovery. He clapped his hands together before rubbing them and letting them drop to his sides.
" Oh the stress of reliving my life for these kids...it's so hard, the migraines, the stomach aches, the ag-oh-nee" He was speaking in as exasperated a tone as he could muster as he put his right forearm on his forehead in a feminine manner. He let his arm fall as he grabbed his trench coat off the back of his chair, the left side staying still as the right side folded in as a coat should. He made little effort to hide it, as he normally did. The Vampire wasn't worried about someone noticing when it would only be Kat and the Janitors in the hallways. " Shall we be off then M'Lady?" He asked as he held his arm out in a courting manner.
