Welcome
To Themiscyra!

Three Viking clans set out on a voyage in the 10th century, fleeing from the christening of their land. After a month at sea they got caught in a massive storm, sending them through to another dimension. To Themiscyra – where the Amazons had been ruling for a thousand years. So far they have managed to co-exist peacefully, but how long can that last?

Charope was sitting a large log that was right in front of a roaring fire. She was sharping her blade, making sure it was ready when she needed it. The sun was beating down on her and she didn't mind it one bit. It was a nice day and nothing was going to make it any different. When she was done she put the rock down on the ground and placed her blade in its holster which was placed on her left hip. She got up and as soon as she did one of the younger girls ran up to her and stated, "Sir we have a Viking that has traveled to far into the territory. What should we do?"

Chrarope kept in mind the treaty that was created between the Vikings and the Amazons and she was no mood to break it for her loyalties ran deep. She placed her hand on the girl's shoulder and stated, "I'll take care of it. Perhaps he may of strayed to far. It happens from time to time." The younger girl nodded and Charope when to go retrieve the Viking. She had hoped that he would want to pick a fight. Give her an excuse to kill him. She left the camp and headed towards the direction the girl was pointing at when she stated that a Viking invaded. It didn't take her long before she saw him walking the trails that she took quite often. She smiled knowing were he branched off to and perhaps meant to go down a different trail.

She stayed in the shadows of the shrubs and bushes that were at lest five feet tall. She walked toward his direction carefully because she wanted to give him a good scare. She was at lest permitted to do that at lest. Most men feared her simply because she was scary looking, she only did that when she wanted to scare them. She found it quite amusing when this happened. In reality she was quite beautiful and powerful and most men didn't like the combination at all. Once she reached him she started to walk behind this young man, not saying one word until she tapped him on the shoulders.

It was no secret that Jon had trouble staying too long in one place. Back in the old land he was for sure a traveling merchant – always on the move in search of new costumers, supplies and good deals. Here he had been strongly encouraged by his Jarl to stay within the borders of the Skjöldung clan, but all of his kinsmen knew that wouldn’t happen for long. Jon really tried to keep his steps to the Viking-areas though, as both the Ylfings and Völsungs had been trading with him from time to time. But the same roads got old, and people’s interest faded when they saw him too often. They started haggle on the prices and didn’t take his “now only”-offers too seriously anymore.

Besides, even though most of his kinsmen saw the Amazons as hostile and threatening Jon couldn’t help but wonder if they all were that way. After all – wasn’t all women that way, Amazon and Viking alike? Females weren’t to be trusted in general, whatever they called themselves. And everyone needed stuff now and then, right? He was sure the Amazons had traders too, and Jon was ready to expand his market.

This morning he had headed out with just that in mind. Not bringing his carriage of course, that would have been way too risky. No, it was just him, his leather bag and Floki – his loyal dog and companion. Where exactly he was headed wasn’t too certain. Nor did he care. The important thing was that it was a new way, one he hadn’t gone before. At least he would have a little adventure, see some new surroundings. The man had been going for quite a while and begin to grow tired in his legs. He decided to stop for a minute, throwing a stick for Floki.

The dog eagerly ran of after it. It went pretty far and Jon saw the dog disappear into the woods. He didn’t have a doubt in his mind that he would soon be back though. Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulders, and quickly turned around. It was a woman standing beside him. An Amazon. Their distinct look and outfits were unmistakable. Even though she seemed like a warrior she didn’t look too hostile – at least not yet. Jon took a small step back. “Hello,” he said, rather slowly. Did they even speak the same language?

Charope raised one of her eye brows while she folded her arms. She leaned to the left side of her and she gave him a what are you doing here look. She didn't take out any weapons of the sort for the simple fact that this was her land and she knew how to use it to her advantage. But when he said 'hello' to her she knew that he wasn't sure of himself. Granted she could tell he was a man of confidence and knowledge. But he wasn't sure of her and that was the problem for him and an strength for her. She sighted and stated "Hello." in an authorized voice. She didn't want to show him that she was weak in anyway shape or form.

She unfolded her arms and balanced equally on both feet before she continued, "What are you doing here Viking." She asked knowing for a fact that the only men that were here were the viking men. She wondered why he wasn't a slave yet and it was only a matter of time before he was. She wasn't sure how she should go about this knowing for a fact that she could either take him to her village and there he would be a slave for life or she could let this one slide if he perhaps lost his way. But of course most lost there way these days. It was only the matter of his motive that could either doom him or save him.
