i say yes, it fits in with their sound then. it definatly wouldn't belong now though! i really enjoy the older songs on the dvds, like enter and candles. also the other half is really cool on TSF tour.

hahaha i didn't know it was called that! you learn something everyday.
except now that my family has heard enter, everytime people ask what music i listen to, they go 'it has growlers!' but hey when i first heard i was like EEEEWWWW and if you'd told me i'd like it 3 years ago i wouldn't have believed you.

I don't think it doesn't fit their style now, take Epica for an instance, they got pretty soft songs with growls, it's all about what you want to express with the music. They just don't want to use it anymore, I guess. I guess The Howling is a song that would go well with growls. And maybe Forsaken. Just listen to them and try to imagine some lines with a background growl, the songs wouldn't be even heavier.
