The foods suggested for storage are the sames foods that I am familiar with over the past many years that have benefited from massive government subsidies. But, my wife has MS that is triggered by an autoimmune response to gluten and dairy proteins as well as the lectins in legumes. So this rules out wheat, rye, oats, barley, beans and any milk products.
As a substitute we use lots of nuts ground to make a flour. For grains, we have used quinoa and amaranth, teff and a few others. All that said it will make for a challenging food storage plan. Any suggestions? |
