This is an intermediate to advanced RPG site.
Beginners and low-intermediate roleplayers may certainly join, but be forewarned everyone is held to the same standards--good grammar, punctuation, capitalization, spelling, and no cookie-cutter writing or characters.

New rules and additions to rules will be bolded and in white, like this.

Out of Character

• You have two weeks to create a bio after registering. After those two weeks, your account will be marked inactive.
• Inactivity will not be tolerated. If you've been gone for a month or more without forewarning, you are simply deadweight and will be cast off.
• One account per member. This isn't one of those one-account-for-every-character sites.
• Proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization, spelling--it will all be used. No exceptions. Small mistakes are acceptable, as they're more or less unavoidable.
• No chatspeak. Period.
• Images that stretch the screen or are considered inappropriate will be removed. So just don't post them.
• There's no limit on the amount of characters you may have. However, use common sense and be sure you can remain active with them all. If we don't think you are, admins have the right to deny additional characters.
• Going to put this real simply: do not be an jerk. Also known as, show members respect or get out. Common sense: It needs to be common.
• This kinda goes with the above rule, but I'll specify it anyway. Don't rush people to post. Not only is it rude, it's just going to get you crappy posts.
• Swearing is, to an extent, perfectly acceptable. Mostly because the majority of words are censored.
• Do not troll. Do not feed the trolls.

In Character

• Your character must be accepted before being roleplayed.
• No godmoding, no powerplaying. AKA, do not take control of someone else's character without their permission, do not make your character invincible and utterly perfect.
• If there's more than two people in a thread, keep a posting order. If someone is inactive, you may skip over them. If you're going inactive, indicate if they should wait for you or continue on.
• There is no word count minimum and definitely no maximum. However, keep in mind this is an intermediate to advanced roleplay site, and your posts should reflect that. ONE-LINERS ARE NEVER, EVER OKAY.
• Grammar and spelling. Necessary. If you're really lacking, you are subject to critiques from admins and mods. Know this when you join, and be sure you payed attention in fifth grade English class.
• Indicate which character you're posting with somehow, whether it be the post name or something else. Post in past-tense and third person.
• Do not assume your character knows everything. They don't.
• No human swearing; these are cats, remember, they don't know our words. Have fun making up tirades and curses.
• Relationships add fun to sub-plots but should never be the main focus. Make it realistic, falling in love over the course of a few threads and not just one. Forbidden love is allowed, but keep in mind that there's an extremely high chance you will at some point be caught and punished accordingly in character.
• No "fancy roleplaying words", i.e. audits for ears or pillars for legs. Very few people like those.
• Liquid time is allowed, just make sure you can keep track of all your threads and keep them active. This means your character can be in more than one thread at once.
• No graphic breeding or birthing. Sex can be referenced, that's fine, but these are cats and not hormonal teenagers; they won't be having bondage fantasies or trying to get laid by every tom or she-cat that walks by.

Characters

• Again, unlimited characters as long as you can keep them active. To be fair, you may have two high-ranking cats maximum, and they must be in two different Clans. Because it's separate from the others, you may also have one high rank in RuinClan.
• Do not join as a kit. You may, however, join as a pregnant queen.
• Unless they are elders or medicine cats, no cat may be created blind, deaf, mute, crippled, half-blind, half-deaf, or anything similar. No cat would realistically survive. Your cat may, however, be blinded or receive a crippling injury during roleplay if approved by an admin or mod. White cats with blue eyes may be born deaf in roleplay.
• In most cases, no odd markings or strange colors will be accepted. Think realistic, people. This does NOT apply to the RuinClan tattoos.
• No perfect characters--like the pretty white she-cat with blue eyes who's gentle and loving, or the brave and loyal warrior. Realistic characters are balanced and they have flaws. We do promote ambition and jerkfaces, but not a cat whose only motive is to gain rank or prove that he's the most badass.
• Don't make all two-year-old cats. Ages need to vary some. Older characters will be more respected than the young, hot-headed ones, though they're all fun to play.

Fighting

• The outcome of a fight is determined by the participants. However, they will be moderated in case a rule is broken, and you may ask a moderator or admin to judge for you.
• No auto-hitting. The other player decides whether they were hit. The exception is playing, such as batting someone with sheathed claws or cuffing their ear.
• To go along with the above rule, you're cat isn't invincible! You can dodge a few attacks, but you must get hit every now and then. An apprentice can't be evenly matched against an older, experienced warrior. Take possible weaknesses into account.
• Do not kill another's character without express permission from them. If you got their permission somewhere else, please quote that part of the conversation in OOC on the killing post. Humor us.
