Welcome
Welcome to The Last Island, a post apocalyptic survival site. It's 2020 and the world has recently been almost fully submerged in water due to Global warming and natural disasters. Only a few small islands of land are left and the people survive by trade, by determination, by luck. The Last Island is set in the direct aftermath of the disasters.

Anders Vincent
Our April spotlight is this kind and just a little bit shy police officer. He lost his wife and son in the floods but he's on the road to recovery at last.

There's so many different ratings out there, so many different rules that it can be hard to know what is and isn't allowed, and that's what that lovely little indicator in our sidebar is for.
This is a more detailed explanation of what it means, and what's allowed on The Last Island.

L= Language. 3
Swearing and mature language is permitted.

This is a real life SURVIVAL site, so I doubt the first thing on your characters mind is trying to curb their language. Of course this doesn't mean we want everyone dropping the F bomb every five seconds, but life is tough, life is stressful, especially when you're trying to survive in a situation like this, and sometimes you just have to let it out!

S= Sex. 3
Sexual content may be described in detail.

Again, this doesn't mean we're all going to shove our characters together for a huge orgy and they'll all be jumping into bed with each other everyday. All this means is that we're all adult players, and that adult situations DO arise, and I don't like to restrict the creative flow. Obviously not every thread you write should be full of smut, and we'd like it if you just tag your thread with an M if it heads down the path of smutty goodness. Use your good judgement smile.gif No sex with minors will be allowed AT ALL.

V= Violence. 3
Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.

Survival. It's what all our characters are aiming for, but in RP as in RL, not everyone is going to get along and not everyone adapts perfectly to the end of the world as we know it. Fights happen. Things get bloody sometimes, and having a villain who can't follow through on his threats is the sort of vetting I don't like. again, we're all adults. Have fun, don't go overboard and we'll all be fine!

To show consideration to other players, though, we ask that sensitive topics such as rape/torture be dealt with sensitively.
