Welcome to The Last Island, a post apocalyptic survival site. It's 2020 and the world has recently been almost fully submerged in water due to Global warming and natural disasters. Only a few small islands of land are left and the people survive by trade, by determination, by luck. The Last Island is set in the direct aftermath of the disasters.

Character Central Once approved, your application will be put into the correct forum and you will be able to start writing. A good place to start is the Plot Pages, where you can read and reply to other characters or post up your own. DoHTML is enabled, but not required.
The Lookout What was once a crude observation tower on top of a high mountain is now the last vestige of civilization on the island and serves as the community center. Settlers are expected to take shifts here, looking for other survivors and watching out for pirates.
Sheltered Cove A quiet cove on the east side of the island, waters teeming with fish but no fresh water nearby. Debris often washes up on the shore here, making it excellent for scavengers but also making it desirable for those who prefer to pillage rather than find for themselves.
Mountain Caves There's not much that's stronger and safer than the caves in the highest reaches of the island, but it's a long walk to find food. Still, the little fresh water spring nearby helps.
The Springs The springs are a stroke of luck to have on the island, giving a valuable source of fresh water for drinking, bathing, washing, if you're brave enough to make the precarious trek. Still, it's worth getting up there for the sheer beauty...and privacy.
Forest There are a lot of trees covering the island, and the thickest past is home to countless animals and birds who fled the water, looking for shelter. Just watch your step because a lot of insects also moved to higher ground.
Other Places The ocean is far more vast than it ever was before, and travellers can spend a LOT of time drifting before they find land...if they're lucky enough to find it.
Ithaca Research Station A classified underground research station, "Ithaca" had some of the top notch equipment to run a perfectly sustainable operation. However, after the earthquakes and floods above ground, most of it had to be sealed out.
