Ask and ye shall receive...eventually...
Here is a collection of incentive pictures of bonus art you might enjoy. I don't think it warrants its own section on the site, but I think it will be fun for you all to look over. If nothing else you can see how much my art has improved. Every time I see that drawing of Valatrek I always wonder how she can wear that armor without the links of the mail covering her tail pulling out patches of fur.
The only solutions can see are if she shaves her tail or wears some sort of cloth sleeve over it. -------------------- 3330 Harkopoints

The final versions of character that appear in the comic my be different from the incentive versions.
These are sort of the "note book" versions. -------------------- "...the details escape me right now."

uh...this may sound weird for asking but. What is the advantage of Valatreks armor shaped to show her rack? Is it for easier mobility or something cause while armor was never really worn by many females in history I doubt they would be shaped that way.
Unless They really took consideration for Joan's breasts in her armor. -------------------- lets see

That IS a weird question.
Only because that is the way I always draw the women's armour in the comic. Shan-Zu has the same kind of breast plate. I guess that's just the way I drew it would be the answer. I dunno...looks okay to me, but does it seem strange to the rest of you? -------------------- "...the details escape me right now."

I feel like... we are missing something? Like the book 2 intro one? Or most of the evils?
I dunno about what is missing, but this is just plain awesome! Not going to put those "cards" up, though, are you? As for the armour... yes, actually that does make a degree of sense if they have custom made armour for females why not accommodate their anatomy? Sometimes, however, it makes sense not to have armour like that. I don't know, I'd have to ask a woman which setup they would prefer? -------------------- Resident philosophy and history nut. Some armors had a bit of room between the wearer and the actual plate, others didn't. And since the women of Harkovast tend to be pretty well endowed I'd say that having some space for their breasts is probably more comfortable, rather than trying to fit into a cuirass made for a man.
Since there are plenty of women in Harkovast who take active roles in combat, I suppose it stands to reason that armor would be made that would fit them better. The downside might be that a glancing blow on a man's armor could actually bite on the woman's armor. And you think that's weird looking? Have you ever seen a "muscle cuirass", they were popular with the Greeks, and later the Romans. Here's a good example, nipples, abs, belly button, the works. With regard to well endowed Harko women....
Damn it, thats just how they work out when I draw them! Everything ends up more exaggerated in the way I draw it so its clear whats going on, so expressions are over the top and motions big and expressive. So the difference between the men and the women also has to be pretty clear, especially when everyone looks like an animal. Are the boobs over the top? I dunno, I am honestly not overly focusing on them when I am drawing... I keep wanting to use the shit "But other comics make hte women FAR more exaggerated defence" but that is meaningless as to whether I am doing it right or not. I am trying to make a comic that is not sexist, so I hope it isn't coming across as giant boobed furry fetish adventures. I dunno...they look okay to me. -------------------- "...the details escape me right now."

They are fine, pretty much, Hark.
The characters are often "well endowed", tis true, but they aren't "AHHHHH BOOOOOOOBIES!" endowed. And I accept your reasoning. I mean, you could try drawing women with smaller breasts... practice at it I suppose... if it really seems to be a problem for you. And it might be a good idea, I mean, not all women in Harkovast can physically have the same boob size. Of course, if you do start changing it up you will not want to point out you are changing it up. That would be sexist. Probably. Renard, the Greeks and Romans were polite. They wanted to help their enemies aim properly! -------------------- Resident philosophy and history nut. And amateur swordsman.

Also in my defence the guys in this comic are totally ripped and far more inclined to take their shirts off than the women!
So Harkovast has a lot of good looking people...well if you are into talking animals anyway. -------------------- "...the details escape me right now."

I figured that was your reason, and I didn't say that the breasts were over the top, but it probably wouldn't hurt to practice making them smaller while still letting the audience know that the character is female.
If that doesn't work it isn't really a problem, I can see how having all of the characters as anthropomorphic animals puts a bit of a curve on things; if it wasn't for her breast-shaped breast plate I don't know if we could tell that Valatrek was a woman with all of that armor, and since the characters will spend a good deal of time in armor there's a lot of room for people to get confused. Still, the first one to figure out effective breast reduction surgery is going to become insultingly wealthy. -------------------- 3330 Harkopoints

isn't there a story point in some stories about the woman who pretends to be a man for war?
Hey if you wanted realistic anthropomorphic people then lizards would be flat and every other female would have multiple rows I prefer the single row thank you. -------------------- lets see

Hark has explained why the lizards aren't flat. It is a rather decent explanation. But it is still kind of funny to see lizard people with breasts.

You know I was hoping for more of a "Thanks hark for posting all this old art for us to enjoy like we have been asking for for ages".
Instead I get my boob drawing skills dissected! I feel like my art is getting a mastectomy! This whole thread has gone tits up. As always, all my problems in life start with boobs. Frostwolf I can give a recap on the reasons for lizard boobs if you like? -------------------- "...the details escape me right now."

Don't look at me, if you feel like flaying someone it ought to be Frostwolf, I don't question the size of the character's breasts.
