Yeah, feminism keeps coming up in the discussions, and I figure it doesn't deserve to be put under such ignominious topics as the "Bullc**p" section. Because, well, feminism isn't bullc**p.

So, while it might seem odd that a bunch of males (who so far are the ones doing most of the talking about feminism. Oddly enough), are discussing feminism... it really isn't.

I think the point that women may very well under report the number of sexual partners they have had and men may over report is feminism related.

Why?

Well, why would one over estimate and one under estimate? Different societal and cultural expectations. What some might call patriarchy.

I told my parents I'm transgender today. It went well.




By the way, I'm transgender. I've felt like i was the wrong gender since middle school.
The best way i can put it i think is that I felt i should have been a tomboy, not a boy. Like I'm a tomboy stuck in a boys body
So I still think myself at least partly Male, that's why I feel like a Tomboy.

Why post here? The feminism thread seemed the right place to do it. btter then starting a whole new thread.

And as we all know, this doesn't spare me from the Femitheist's wrath. She still hates me.

Congratulations! Always good to see something like this go well. Except when it goes too well, like when one parent turns to the other, saying "told ya" and receives a good ten dollars.

I will now be denounced by fundies everywhere for encouraging a "sinful" lifestyle "choice."

Thankfully, they are fundies, and can therefore be disregarded! I could go further into this in a way that doesn't involve ad hominem, but I'm too lazy.

I'm also fairly sure that Deve doesn't like transgendered people either. Maybe not so broadly, but I believe she complained about it somewhere. I'm not entirely sure, it could have been one of her commentors or her in one of her comment sections.

But seriously, great that you've figured this out.

Good for you, I've still not come out to my parents or friends, and even the gays ones are none the wiser. It would just be too much unnecessary hassle for me at this point.

I remember when we were discussing Deve last year you quoted her saying something about how she didn't much like transgendered people, but she certainly wasn't as hateful as Fematheist

Okay okay, a biiiiiit of an overstatement.

Or maybe not? I dunno.

I mean, Hitler wanted to kill or enslave... no, still more people for Hitler. There are more people who aren't aryan than people who are male.

So yeah, overstatement. Though that I had to think about that as much as I did isn't a good sign.
