...You just had to shorten it to "Twilight", didn't you?

There's nothing wrong with the name twilight. Twilight is a very nice time of day. Are you racist against times of the day? are you?!? Are you Anti-timeitic?

What are these lies? I don't like ponies!
I like watching manly sports, and eating red meat.... ...... while drinking beer..... .....from bottles that I open with my teeth.... ...so there.... .......... ........... Alright I admit it! That show is great! Ya happy now? You pushed and you pushed and finally the truth came out! Seriously though, My Little Pony-Friendship is Magic is a great show. And why shouldn't it be? The fact it is "made for girls" doesn't mean males cant appreciate it for being well written, clever and funny. Unlike a lot of things aimed at girls, it doesn't do any bullshit reverse sexism (the girls are not cool because they are better than boy or because boys are lame, they are cool because they just are.) It has really interesting, fun likable characters, who are all really distinct but all cool and fun. To give an example, lets take Rarity The one Canuovea thinks is British. Actually she sounds American HOWEVER she does use some British sounding pronunciations so I can see why you would think that. Rarity is great. Shes's girlie and likes fashion and beauty, doing her hair and hates getting dirty or messed up. HOWEVER! She is not the useless, helpless wuss you would expect. She's smart and can use magic, cares about her friends a lot and makes sacrifices of her time and , is very hard working and runs her own successful business. She is also willing to get herself messy when she has to (cutting off her tail to calm a dragon in the first episode) so she is not flanderised into someone annoying or moronic. She can balance aspects of being very feminine with being useful and practical. At the other end of the spectrum is Rainbow Dash. She's brash and competitive and tomboyish. Shes a bit arrogant, but shes not some kind of massive jerk as she does care about the others and will stand by them, and especially stand up for them if anyone tries to push them around. I am just giving two examples, but this illustrates the way that the characters are radically different, but are not presented as good or bad. They are each unique and their uniqueness is shown in a positive light. This really appeals to me because, as I have said repeatedly, I like the idea of presenting people as being different from each other without judging one as superior to the other. And my favourite is Twilight Sparkles. If I cant pick Twilight I think I will pick Rarity...but its very very close. That Faust is one smart lady. -------------------- "...the details escape me right now."

when i first watched, I thought Rainbow dash was a guy, but could also see a girl. I wasn't sure. And then they finally said "she" when referring to Dash. I still want to type him, instead of her tho
Maybe that's why I like rainbow dash so much. Rainbow Dash is such an androgynous character that gender doesn't factor into it. Maybe my asexuality has something to do with the appeal. I don't know. Of course the fact that Dash is really cool, and awesome, also helps -------------------- Local amateur philosopher, debater, idealist, furry, Transhumanist, and asexual.

Male ponies are actually drawn very differently to the male ones, so you can tell them immediately once you've seen them.

How about a Tasmanian Devil? I'd imagine they're pretty soft (not as soft as a cotton ball), and they look adorable:
(Posted Image) However in the words of one Cracked columnist "...the Tasmanian devil has to go and ruin the snuggle-fest by opening its mouth and turning into the fucking Sarlacc." (Posted Image) If you shoot a burning one at somebody and they'll need a direct line to God to stay alive :) -------------------- 3330 Harkopoints

I'd feel pretty safe against someone launching flaming Tasmanian devils. I think they would get killed by the Tasmanian Devil before they could launch it at me, or even set it on fire. As long as I'm not near them, I'm safe.

your statement is invalid. I like Apple Jack.
1. RAINBOW DASH 2. Apple Jack Not listing Twilight, because EVERYONE loves Twilight. If I did count her tho, she'd probably be #1. -------------------- Local amateur philosopher, debater, idealist, furry, Transhumanist, and asexual.

Or, you could just launch a wolverine at someone. No need to set it on fire.
Then again, you'd have to catch the wolverine first... -------------------- Resident philosophy and history nut. And amateur swordsman.

instead of trying to catch, and launch the wolverine, which will end in your death, We should all band together to fight the wolverine. It will take all of us to defeat it. We will have to utilize the Magic of Friendship to Win, tho some of us may still perish.

I am glad someone else likes Rarity! I was starting to think it was just me and Spike that appreciate her!
And Apple Jack is cool! She has a hat! -------------------- "...the details escape me right now."

I can appreciate cool hats.
Tiberius... nonsense. I can capture a wolverine. I just need a suit of plate mail, and a rapid fire tranquilizer shotgun thing. -------------------- Resident philosophy and history nut. And amateur swordsman.

Foxes perhaps? I like foxes, and I usually get along with them on the occasions I've come across them in the wild.
Although, the Russians have bred domesticated foxes about the size of collie dogs (and without the strong smell typical of foxes); I'll get a pack of them, train them to love everyone until I say "Release the foxes!", and then they'll straight murder every other human in sight. Have you ever seen a fox's teeth? Bloody long and sharp daggers attached to a pissed-off canine. (Posted Image) ANGRY FOX  I love being able to post photos on this site, I bloody love it! I have to say I like the whole constant night thing, I could do with that just as long as the moon stayed around to give some illumination. It would take some getting used to; my biggest problem would be difficulty taking photos outdoors, and having to carry a light with me whenever I go out. -------------------- 3330 Harkopoints
