Title: New Incentive Picture
Description: Thoughts?
Harkovast - March 19, 2012 02:05 AM (GMT)
Just wondered what you all made of it....
Renard - March 19, 2012 02:41 AM (GMT)
So what have we here?
A bovine of some sort (Bardabor?) who looks pretty uneasy with whatever she's looking at. I'll wager that she isn't one of the fighters.
A frog with a turban. Tendu?
An Al-Saigal warrior.
A Junloc, who appears to be carrying a distinctly non-Junloc blade (would he be a former slave freed by the Al-Saigal?).
And... the fucking Panda. Can someone big beat him with their fists? Scatter-Pod doesn't count, she made a solid connection with his face but didn't loose any teeth. How about the cow? Maybe write in a wolverine who jumps from the bushes to turn his face to hamburg before vanishing like smoke.
I'm looking forward to this! I've already asked questions about Vellastrom and its people, now for Jaydia.
Frostwolf18 - March 19, 2012 02:43 AM (GMT)
now brining two chicks instead of one into the main fighting force!
i'm kidding,
looks nice, can't wait to see this take action
Go junlock!
Canuovea - March 19, 2012 03:56 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure it is the same Panda. See, this takes place in the North, not in Vellastrom. So I'm not sure that it is our same lanceable friend.
I just want to know if we will be seeing Muir and co again and if we are going to be seeing why Muir carries a regular sword.
Harkovast - March 19, 2012 11:17 AM (GMT)
Poor old Quinn-Tain....he gets no love!
StyxD - March 19, 2012 11:36 AM (GMT)
So what do we have here...
A minotaur lady. Yay.
A frog from India? Well, why not.
Sigh... him, again. No yay. Maybe the minotaur lady will trample him this time.
A ninja! Woo.
Is that a Junloc far from home?
Harkovast - March 19, 2012 11:40 AM (GMT)
Frogs in Turbans 4 the win.
Canuovea - March 19, 2012 06:02 PM (GMT)
Hark, I'm simply pointing out that Panda is lanceable because of his name, which resembles a crude machine knights in training used to practice lace work on.
Harkovast - March 19, 2012 11:53 PM (GMT)
You are right, it is a jousting thing.
This is purely coincidental and meaningless.
Quinn-Tain was actually originally called Quing-Tain, but me and my friends kept saying quinn-tain causes its easier to say so that is what stuck.
Canuovea - March 20, 2012 12:38 AM (GMT)
It isn't purely coincidental and meaningless if Quinn Tain's ultimate fate is to get skewered by a lancer.
Then its freaken hilarious.
Not that I want him to get skewered by a lancer, mind you, just that it would be funny if he does.
Though, Quing-Tain makes sense to me.
But Quinn works:
Wikipedia says: "Quinn is a surname in the English language, that is derived from the Irish language. The name is derived from the Irish Ó Cuinn, ie descendants of Conn. It means wisdom or chief. It arose separately among unrelated families, such as those of Thomond and Tir Eoghan. It is Ireland's 19th most numerous surname, 255th in England and Wales, and 402nd in the United States."
Wisdom or chief... I suppose that does fit our Panda fairly well.
Harkovast - March 20, 2012 01:04 AM (GMT)
Something new to look at under the races section.
Renard - March 20, 2012 01:48 AM (GMT)
I want a no-holds-barred fight in which the panda is completely dismantled.
We've already seen Scatter-Pod hit him square in the jaw, but he could still talk (see: sermonize) after that hit, I want blood, shattered bones, a weeping panda, and someone much smaller than him laughing in his face for getting stomped by them.
I also have a question about the Tsung-Dao after reading the new section.
Canuovea - March 20, 2012 01:53 AM (GMT)
That is very mean, Renard.
I'd just tie him to a spinning post and use him as an actual Quintain. Except, you know, using blunted lances. Don't want to actually kill him. And that is at worst.
Neat stuff in the new Races addon.
StyxD - March 21, 2012 11:12 PM (GMT)
The new addition to the Races section is so boring and full of routine. Although it's friendly and generous, at least.
Neat outfit for the guy on the left.
The outfit of the soldier on th right is rather garish, not to mention the sigil between her legs (this does not sound dirty) looks like a stick figure in a ballet pose.
Harkovast - March 22, 2012 12:01 AM (GMT)
StyxD Tsung-Dao generally dress in bright colours.
No particular reason for that, its just the way their fashions worked out as we drew them.
