Well, I have been doing this for about the last half-hour...And I must conclude it is like the funnest thing ever!!! What I have been doing is I will stand at the top of Frostcrag Spire, save first, throw something off, and try to A. catch up to it in mid-air and grab it or B. try to find it after it lands.

Sometimes it will hit a rock going fast enough that it will go through it...but that's not a big deal.

The best thing that has happened so far, is that I threw Umbra off and dive down after it. Apparently I fall faster that it does, so I hit Umbra on the way down and it took away like 1/4 of my health! (I know it was just me hitting something while falling, but let's roleplay here and say I cut myself!)

So, I was wondering, Have any of you guys done something similar to this? (I tried it on Dive Rock but Frostcrag is funner...more of a mountain...with slopes). It is really fun\funny if you ever get bored! enjoy!

ooooo, that was neat...I just jumped off and ran into the side of Umbra...and it flew acroso the sky! (like the stuff on table sometimes does when you sit down...CRT!!!)

if you have a nice speed spell
or sonic shoes the go to a chapple and go to the farthest bench from the door in front of the main hexagon thing

and run into the bench (running in the direction of the door) and wile your running into it.....going nowhere press the jump key and for some reason you'll fly twords the door going up eventually land ON the door.... good sniping place.

But it is not a platform, so he would have simply knocked it away.

It said that he was hurt by it (1/4 health), I just don't understand how that would happen.

Try jumping off of a tall building in Oblivion and watch what happens.

I did, I wasn't hurt by an object in mid-air, I was only hurt when I hit the ground.

Well I don't think he took note of exactly when he got hurt.

if he was describing the landing, he would have said something more along the lines of 'death'.

it's damn near impossible to live those jumps...

I haven't died jumping off high buildings. I can jump very far down without getting hurt very badly.

ok...Let's clear this up shall we?
A. I have jumped from the top of Frostcrag Spire...and not died (still had like 1/3 health left).
B. I was hurt by the sword because, while falling, I caught up to Umbra (which apparently falls slower than I do) and hit it exactly on the top (lost 1/4 health).
C. And, yes, once I did hit Umbra and knocked it away...(which I mentioned in my second post!)

I just don't understand how you were hurt by an object falling in mid-air, I tried it in my game, and I did not get hurt, one of our games is messed up...

Mine has like twice...I will go try to see if I can recreate it, sometime! Then I will post the results!

Mine has crazy graphical glitches, and radiant AI screws up sometimes, but never physics glitches or damage stuff.

OKAY!!! I got it...First I was having trouble with falling any faster than Umbra (I was going slower, I believe). So I dropped some Paintbrushes (just to see if I could be injured if I fell and hit an item...It injured me)

But the important part: Umbra. I figured that the only way I was going to be able to fall faster was to throw Umbra up some and then jump while it was on its way down. The first few times, it didn't work. But, once, I hit it and it went flying and...suddenly, slowed down a bunch and I flew down past it! I had figured it out! You have to throw it up in the air, jump off, tap it a bit (it may fly off one direction) and aim your way down and hit it again. PROVEN!

Just to be clear, yes, I did recreate the stunt!!!

heck i just have enough fun jumping off frostcrag spire although it kills me.......... usualy
