Vlad Masters/Plasmius

Vlad was truly and honestly EVIL in SW. And sincere. I've never seen him show any affection for Jazz before now but it was suh-wheeeeet.

I was just happy to see more Vlad action, finally. The ecto-suit... I'm sad it exploded. I am, though. But he's slowly, with each appearance, becoming more threatening, from just the other halfa with the grudge to the master villain with the tech and lackies... just yayness.

Tell me about it. I wander how he would have explained that to Jack and Maddie. Most likely he would have found a way to blame it on Danny.

A lot of people didn't like the way he was portaryed in this episode. They said it made him look to stupid. I usually think that he acts the way he does because of his arrogence. We all know how great Vlad tends to think he is, and that's what leads to most of his defeats. Like in MDG, Vlad thinks that Jack is nothing more then a moron, but in that epsiode Jack surprises him, to the point that he was to shocked to fight back. In MI, Vlad seemed so sure that if he got Maddie and Danny away from Jack that they would join him. Once again, his arrogence gets in the way of his common sense and he screws up big time, and fails because of it. SW is no exception. Jazz knew how to handle him, a little flattery goes a long way with Vlad.

As for Jazz, I still didn't get a feeling that he cared all that much about her. She was nothing for then another tool for his use, and he was completely willing to be rid of her.

I think that he doesn't really SEE the kids as people he gives affection to, but he still acts like he does for the mere fact that it's taking something away from Jack. It goes back to his lack of ever having a life or a family. He may not have felt enough affcction for Jazz, or any at all really, but the fact she was "willing" to become a part of his family is what he wanted most. You have to remember, too, that he didn't know that Jazz knew about Danny Phantom until the very end. 'No. Not surprised.' He might still not know this. If he had known Jazz knew about Phantom he would've been more aware that it was all a set-up and wouldn't have fallen so easily.
This desire of his, combined with his arrogance, has been his downfall in most episodes, because its easy to manipulate them.

Completely true.

When all is said and done, Vlad really is just a lonely old man, isn't he?

You know, Butch really should have researched Masters' surname a bit more. If he had done so, he would have found that Vlad's family has this Coat of Arms:



That would have looked more authentic on Vlad's little chateau in the Rockies.

If only the blue was green.

I dunno. Can you imagine that on a shield. Would look pretty good hanging on Vlad's wall.

I've also researched his family motto. I don't know what it exactly states, but it translates roughly to, "It is no less an achievement to keep possession than to acquire it."

That is totally Vlad right there.

Because of this find, combo'd with the Fenton shield (can you give me their motto too?) I wouldn't be surprised if he DID do some research on Masters. Reminds me completely of Maddie...

Okay, obviously the first thing I want to bring up is the... oh, let's call it a "debate"... over whether or not he's really all that bad. I say no , he's not completely evil. I said this on DPO, and I quote: "To me, he [Vlad] is kind of a 'shade of gray.' Not purely evil, not an angel either." That's really the truth. He may be a villian, but he has reasons for being that way. He's not just thinking, 'Hell, I wanna be evil just because I feel like it.' It seems like he was just an okay guy-- until after the accident. Seriously, what would you do if your best friend ruined your social life, married the girl you liked, and not to mention the backwash incident.

Another thing I wanted to mention... What about the 'ships with Vlad? I used to be a Spurned Affection supporter, but "Masters of All Times" kind of changed that. After that, I kind of decided that Vlad and Maddie... don't go too good together. Now I firmly support Misery Motivated. ... What? You never know how they might feel about each other; they haven't met yet. One thing I can't stand... and no offense to people who support this... is Pompous Pep. It just freaks me out.

Alrighty then, I think I've made all the points I wanted to make. Feel free to bring anything else up about him!

I didn't used to think Vlad was pure evil, and I guess to an extent I still don't. But MoaT proved that his mentality was not a product of the accident. That's really him. I still adore him, but I no longer think anything will suddenly happen to change his mind about his little vendetta. Like I said on DPO, he's not in love with Maddie. He's in love with the idea of Maddie.
