Well, I think I need a guide to the battle domain, so I am going to go ahead and create one.

What is the Battle Domain?
The Battle Domain is an RPG experience, where you create a character (or use a video game character), and "tell a story" of his/her battles against other people's characters. The BD (Battle Domain) is NOT a competition, it is a chance to test your story-telling skills as you and your opponent(s) tell the tale of the battle. If you lose, nothing happens, there are no perks to winning, and there are no consequences to losing.

How can I join?
Well first, you must pick a school of battle. You can have as many BD characters as you want, and you can have them in any school you want. If you want ten characters, three in Evolution, and three in Revolution, knock yourself out.
To create a character, you need the following copied and pasted into your approval thread (be sure to type over the text in parentheses and delete the parentheses):

Race (species): (is your character a human, a vampire, or something else?)
Sex: (Boy or Girl?)
Hair: (a brief description of your characters hair)

Weapon: His vampire fangs
Armor: No protective armor. He wears only a black hooded cloak, he puts the hood up when he is in the sunlight.
strengths: Stronger than the average human, Very nimble and good at evasive manuevers.
Weakness:Sunlight is harmful to him unless he has his hood up. Silver weapons burn his flesh in addition to cutting it.
Skills/Magic: the ability to drink the blood of his adversaries and regain a small portion of his strength. A magic spell that gives his adversaries a blinding headache, however due to skill level he can only make the headache last for 3 seconds. He also has an attack that envelopes a small area around him in pure darkness, temporarily blinding the enemy, at his current skill level, he can blind enemies up to 1 foot around him

Personality: Kain is very nimble and he is often quick to rush into dangerous situations thinking he can dodge anything. When, in truth, he can only dodge things up to the speed of a poorly thrown shuriken. He often underestimates the opponent at the beginning of a level because he has not yet developed a strong sixth sense, making it so that he can not properly estimate an opponent's strength.

Although Kain has not yet fully developed a sixth sense, he does indeed have one. Using his sixth sense, he can perceive his enemies movements and dodge their attacks, however if he was not as nimble as he is, he probably couldn't dodge their attacks anyway. He can also faintly sence the presence of spirits and invisible enemies with his sixth sence.

Kain also tends to sometimes overestimate his strength (since when have teenagers not?), he is stronger than the average human, but any old human with a weights set and built up muscles could easily defeat him in battle. Kain also can not control his special powers, he knows how to use his blinding attack, but sometimes random bursts of exreme hatred will happen, and he will go berserk on the nearest person. be him friend or foe.

Appearance: Kain looks more or less like a normal human, he is about as tall as a human, but he weighs less than most humans. However you cannot tell his weight just by looking at him. The only differences in appearance between him and a human are that Kain has long hypodermic fangs, and that kain has a different eye color depending on whether or not it is dark where he is. He has somewhat long hair (for a boy), that is brown in color and covers part of his eyes and all of his ears. He wears a black hooded cloak no matter how hot it is outside. He wears the hood down if he is not in the sunlight, and he wears the hood up while he is in the sunlight.

History: Kain is a vampire born of the powerful clan of vampires known as "Karrin". He was found by the vampires as a human baby at the age of 6-months old near the vampire's mountain lair in a deep forest. He was an orphan. At that time, the Karrin tribe was looking for humans to use as "cattle". Cattle, to a vampire, were essentially humans who were harvested for their valuable blood. But it turned out that the baby was terminally ill with an unknown virus. The vampires were worried that his blood would be tainted with disease, so they decided to turn him into a vampire and take him in as one of their own. They Bit him on the neck, and began to wait for the transformation from human to vampire.

12 hours later, Kain was a full fledged vampire...... a vampire baby anyway. He was adopted to a vampire foster mother and all went well for about an hour. That was when the true transformation began. You see, when he was bitten by the vampires, Kain became cursed. Something went horribly wrong, apparently, the mixture of his terminal illness with the vampire genetics created a powerful, cursed substance that gave him extreme abilities. If only he knew how to use them.... Anyway, after an hour with his foster mom had passed, his foster mom noticed that he was giving off a black aura. she went closer to investigate when all of a sudden, the aura exploded, blinding and stunning his foster mom, she was so startled by it that she died of death shock, the undead equivalent of a heart attack.

All went well for 6 years after that, nothing out of the ordinary (for a vampire) happened for that 6 year period. Kain had started to develop the ability to control that Black blinding attack, but alls he could do so far was summon up the black aura. One day he was minding his own bussiness, just walking to his house in the Karrin lair, when all of a sudden, the black aura came and exploded again, blinding 3 people near by. Only this time it didn't stop at that, he was suddenly ingulfed by a burning rage that urged him to kill, he violently aussalted 5 near-by vampires before he was stopped. He was sentenced to 350 years in prison (keep in mind that vampires can never die of old age). He was tattooed with the "mark of a prisoner". a rising sun tattoo that was put on his back.

9 years later, at the age of 15, Kain had finally learned how to use the blinding attack. He escaped prison with it. First, he blinded the guard and gave him death shock when he got within touching range. Next, he took the key from his body. He then unlocked his cell door and stealthily escaped from his prison and fled the mountain. It has been 1 month since that day, and the urge to kill has started to burn strong within his body once again, however this time he can contain it. So, really, he only has a small urge. But it is an urge none the less, and the urge makes him want to fight......

That is an example of an approved evolution character (yes, he is my creation). Once your character is approved, post his/her approval form in the "Official approved character thread" of your school. You must also keep a link to your character in your signature.

BD character approval Rules

The rules for the character approval forum are as follows:
No bumping your thread unless it has fallen back a page
No impersonating a staff member, noone but staff can approve, do not go into a character approval thread and say "Well it looks good to me, I'm sure it will be approved".... This is spam, spam is bad, spam gets deleted, say bye-bye to Mr. Spam
Please keep your character's Biography to a minimum of 2 paragraphs, the personality to a minimum of one, and the appearance to a minimum of one.

Character approval Guidelines
*Disclaimer: The following are not rules, they are guidelines, I suggest you follow them, but the staff cannon penalize you for disobedience on the guidelines*

The Character approval guidelines are:
Lay off the whole "his parents were killed and he is out for vengeance" thing, it is too stereotypical, be original.

Battle Rules

The following are rules for in battle sequences:
Type "OoC:" when you want to say something to the owner of your opponent, this is used to type things "Outside" of the battle.
Type "BiC:" when you want to type in the battle itsself (BiC: is not needed if the whole post is battle material)
Keep posts to a minimum of one paragraph, one sentence posts run the risk of locking that thread
No killing your opponent unless your opponent says it is ok, this is used to end a battle, the character dies only in that one battle, he can battle again

The School of Evolution
The school of evolution is different in a number of ways from the school of Revolution:

-It allows for a more in depth experience
-Your character cannot start out super-strong, he/she must start out not in full control of their powers, that is what this school is all about.

If you think your evolution character has earned another skill or weapon, pm a staff member asking for one, then you can edit your approval thread with his new skill.

The School of Revolution
The school of Revolution is different from the school of Evolution in a few ways:

-It is not AS in depth
-Your character can start at peak power
-You can use video game characters, but you must be able to write out a character approval form for him/her.
-You canNOT upgrade your Revolution character

The school of Integration
The school of Integration is not really a school, it is the ONLY place where members of different schools can fight each other, there is no character approval here and no battle school, you have to use an evolution or revolution character here
