The Rules on this board are fairly simple:

1: no use of 1337 or any other various "Internet Speak"
2: No bad swearing. The use of the words "Ass" "Damn" and a few other words will be tolerated. But the use of "the F word" and "The C word" will not be tolerated.
3: Please put effort into your posts. Especcially opening posts. Please make opening posts over a paragraph long, and keep regular posts to a minimum of 2 sentences.
4: Please use proper grammar and spelling, a few typos will be tolerated, but excessive grammatical and spelling errors won't be tolerated.
5: No spamming, this includes one sentence posts, off topic posts, and flooding.
6: No flaming. A personal insult at another member will not be tolerated. We are here to have fun, not to make each other feel like crap.

I suppose that covers most of the rules. I may add more rules later, and there may also be individual rulesets depending on which section of the forum you're at.
