Character Applications
You must apply for a character. Male characters are encouraged. We also need characters who are potential Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs. Younger characters (Fifth Year and below) are also needed.

Current character restrictions:
No more sixth years are allowed until there are more students in the other years.
Only the best applications who fit into Slytherin will be placed into that house, due to the large number of Slytherin characters.

House Points
Teachers, please post what points the students who take part in your classes earn and lose, as well as what students earn in their homework. Be sure to include the house of the students (you can color code). Furthermore, you may also post when students lose points for other reasons, but please include why and a link to the RP in which it took place. Anyone whose character is in a position to give or take away House Points (You know who you are) should also post what they do here for review by the Admins.

Entrance Hall
Famous for their grandeur and splendor, the Entrance Hall of Hogwarts is a wonderful and amazing room indeed. The huge double doors, crafted out of sturdy wood and treated carefully to last a thousand years, open into a high-ceilinged room. The banners of the four houses hang on the walls. A carpet runs up the center to where the magnificent grand marble staircase leads into the rest of the castle. A door on one wall leads into the Great Hall, while another leads beneath the castle into the dungeons. A stained glass window with the crest of Hogwarts is on the wall where the room peaks. Along one wall, four great hourglasses record the House Points with glimmering jewels. A message board rests opposite the Hourglasses.

Great Hall
The location of meals and feasts, the Great Hall is one of the most grandiose rooms of the castle. Banners of various colors, depending on the occasion and desired feel, hang on the walls and over the heads of the students within the hall. Four long tables, which, due to the low population at Hogwarts, have enough elbow room for students, bear food during mealtimes are and completely cleared out during the rest of the day. High overhead, the walls slowly meld to become one with the sky, imitating the weather outside marvelously. Depending on the occasion, the lighting differs, but usually the hall is lit with whatever light comes from the ceiling, the torches on the walls, and the candles miraculously hanging suspended in thin air over the tables.

Hallways and Staircases
A castle of many mysteries, Hogwarts is full of halls, passages, and staircases, both real and false, both hidden and obvious. Whether between classes, packed with students, or at night, patrolled by Prefects and the Founders if they have nothing better to do, the Halls can host many a happening. Just about anything could happen in the hallways, and it is a frequent site for the many horrid murders of Draco Dormiens. Duels, of course, are against the rules, but they say rules were made to be broken.

Dungeons
Dank, moist, yet far cleaner in present-day, the dungeons of Hogwarts host both classes and dungeons still open for their original intended use. In short... their namesake remains true. There are rumors flying around that they are already haunted by the unfortunate students who really did not want to do the homework that Salazar and Rowena assigned. There are also rumors that if you really do something bad, detention will be bypassed and the dungeons used. There are more than enough hidden corridors and rooms in the dungeons that few people know about to make them quite useful... to one who knows what to do. Rumors also say that there are some monsters in the deepest, lowest corridors... but everyone knows that the Founders would never let something that dangerous live in the castle. It isn't like they employ werewolves or anything.

Classrooms
All classes take place here, except Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology, unless there is a special note to the contrary. This does include all classrooms, including the spare classrooms, and the Astronomy Tower.

Havens of learning, the Classrooms are usually unlocked, unless there is something valuable inside. While they are all different, most have a chalkboard, a teacher's desk, and desks for the students, as well as books.

Towers and Various Rooms
There are plenty of rooms that don't have a real function, such as empty rooms, but there are also plenty that aren't classrooms and have quite a definite purpose. The towers of Hogwarts are known to contain some interesting things as well.

Staff Room
The staff room is where teachers can get away from it all... guarded by two gargoyle statues, the staff room is not the place students are recommended to go, though they can most certainly enter with a teacher or knock on the door, if necessary. Once within, one will find it rather sparse; there is a fireplace, a long sofa (for teachers who just need to lie down), a long table with chairs, and a wardrobe, usually filled with cloaks either far too short or far too long to be of any use at all. A bookshelf, full of useful books for teachers and a lot of dust, stands by the fireplace. A small cupboard with a refrigeration spell, disguised most cleverly as a stand for a Chinese Vase (one of Rowena's things), holds a few drinks that most people would think should not belong anywhere in a school.

Draco Dormiens
Here, the members of Draco Dormiens gather in secret. Since the fall of their leader, a new set of leaders has taken up the banner. They have promised that they will be the group he promised, one of power, of influence, of knowledge, of learning, and of success. What will become of the secret organization remains to be seen... but it is clear that is is beyond the influence of the teachers.

The small village near Hogwarts, Hogsmeade is the only all-wizarding community in Britain. Don't get caught up in any of those Bloody Goblin Rebellions...

Claustrumecro Fortress
Before Azkaban... there was Claustrumecro...

They don't have dementors here, so they have all the rest: chains, walls, the frigid North Sea, and various medieval torture devices... It is hewn out of a single, enourmous pillar of rock naturally sticking out of the sea. Claustrumecro is also the Headquarters of the Magical Law Enforcement Group (later a Department in the Ministry) and the Wizengamot.

English Countryside
England is home to a great deal of lovely green countryside, scattered with little towns, farms, and a few cities. Of course, what's the point of cities when it's called the countryside? Hadrian's Wall lies to the north, still dividing England from Scotland.

Scottish Highlands
The Highlands of Scotland, inhabited by clans of wizards and muggles alike, are covered with blooming heather in the summer and are utterly desolate in the winter. A fair amount of castles and villiages scatter throughout, despite this. Many wizarding clans choose to withdraw from the cities to live out in the wild, where there are still red deer that wander occaisionally... and some stranger, fouler magical things.

Ravenclaw Castle
A beautiful castle on the shores of Loch Ness, Ravenclaw castle is home of the illustrious Rowena Ravenclaw and her only son, William Ravenclaw. Most of the time, the castle is empty, with both of its occupants at Hogwarts. Protected by very advanced magic, only those that Rowena permits can even see it, let alone enter. At night, the entire castle is lit, inside and out, by magical lights that light and extinguish on demand.

The Four Founders of Hogwarts gather in their joint office to plan, decide, determine... and argue. A great deal of discontent has taken place in the Head's Office of Late.
