REGISTRATION: Register with first and last name in all caps, i.e. ‘JOHN SMITH’, no middle name or initials. If you get this wrong, just ask, it’s an easy fix.

APPLICATIONS: Post your application titled LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME. If the app is complete, please respond to the thread and say 'complete' or something. You have a week to do your census form and on the outside chance - it won't happen often - you get pended, you have three days from the pend date to edit stuff. Obviously if you have issues with your computer the time limit rules can be fudged around.

REJECTION: You probably won't be denied. If you are though, feel free to PM an admin and talk to them about it. Don't go and bitch in the c-box or ask why in the c-box because that's annoying and you'll just get banned.

ACTIVITY: Try and post at least once a week. You're not expected to make giant posts but if you only have one character and you can't post with them more than once a week then there's something wrong with this picture. If you're joining the board, be active on it, capiche? Don’t take more characters than you can reasonably be active with. Having two really, really active characters is a lot better than having seven that rarely get posted with because you can't keep up.

DIVERSITY: Please, don’t make a million women who are all blonde and tall or any other thing like that. Be diverse. Atlanta is a diverse city and has every nationality you can think of. If you have three girls you have to make a guy before you make any more girls. Other than that, make your people however you want - just remember, not everyone is white!

FACES AND AGES: No children. This has become an issue in the past year and its basically a form of child exploitation. The board can get shut down for it, so don't fucking do it. If there's a kid character, that's fine, they just can't be apped properly - make them an NPC and give the picture of what the kid looks like to people on messengers or in PM. Any PB that is younger than thirteen in real life will be deleted. Period. Also, if your seventeen-year-old girl has a thirty-year-old woman as a playby, that's not going to fly unless you can find really, really good pictures that makes her look like she's seventeen. Give a care to making ages realistic. Otherwise, go for it. No restrictions other than those two.

GRAPHICS: Avatars should be no more than 200x250, signatures no more than 500 wide. Don’t stretch the board or get ridiculous, and no porn. In fact, don't put give your character a signature where they're curled up on a bed with only panties on or anything like that either. Not okay.

THE EMO FACTOR: Mary-Sues, Gary-Stus, Emo!Sues etcetera are not okay. Not everyone had a shitty life, nor were they all raped, impregnated at 12 and turning tricks at 5. A certain degree of dark is fine, but honestly, don't get insane with it.

WORD COUNT: There's no word limit but please, be considerate to who you're writing with. Most of the time people can't reply to 10 words, right? Give the person you're threading with something to respond to - which is why there's a word count limit. 2,000 word posts of near-nothing won't be appreciated anymore than a one-liner will be. Don't go insane.

COURTESY: Don’t powerplay, godmode, or do things without consulting first – if the person you’re roleplaying with gives you the go-ahead, then go for it, but don't do shit without asking. If you act like an asshole you'll get booted. Period.

LITERACY: Know how to spell and use proper grammar. Use third person tense - you know, how most novels are written - and spell things properly. Make it legible and understandable.

RATING: There won't be a rating on here because real life doesn't have a rating. Literally everything is okay to write on this board. But put up an [M] tag in the thread title and if possible let people know what's in it. Someone might be okay with reading sex but not drug use; so be sensitive and let people know if you can - however that is, its fine (even if its at the top of the first post). Don't just make sex threads because that's the only way you can get off. If that's your motivation for RPing here, don't join in the first place. Mature things happen but that doesn't mean you're allowed to make your entire RP life on this board a porno. Same goes with drugs and violence.
