If you would like to reserve a canon character, please reply to this topic with the character you would like to claim. Characters will be reserved for four days, after which time they will be returned to avaliable status (unless express permission is given otherwise). Names will not be changed. Remember to use the family tree for family pasts, and likely attitudes. Please remember that if you are going to have three characters, at least one of them must be male.

In an attempt to keep this thread from getting too cluttered, I will be deleting reservations once they expire or the character is accepted.

A repeat: Names will not be changed, so please don't ask. So far, I've been too nice to turn down the requests, but unless you have a very, very legitimate reason for changing the name (it's the name of the kid you killed when you hit his car that night you had one too many beers, etc.), your request will be denied.

Main Characters

Lance Potter & Thyone Malfoy

Emilie Potter: Ravenclaw [Graduated]
--Muggleborn
--Magical Rating: C
The only child who was ever raised in the company of her mother, Emilie takes after Thyone with a vengance: both rebellious and cunning. She is less than a beautiful woman, but her guile is enough to make any man fall right into her trap.

Lynden Potter: Gryffindor
--Sixth Year
--Muggleborn
--Magical Rating: B
A jokester who doesn’t care one whit about blood. Let the purebloods get all incestuous and intermarry until they die out. It makes no difference to him! A decently powerful wizard, and not the sharpest crayon in the box.

Ilyana Potter: Gryffindor
--Sixth Year
--Muggleborn
--Magical Rating: B
The younger Potter-Malfoy twin, Ilyana is as much of a joker with her brother, but with many times his intelligence. She has an equally uncaring attitude about the purebloods.

Tristan Longbottom & Grace Ayalla

Kiana Longbottom: Slytherin [Main Plot]
--Seventh Year
--Pureblood
--Magical Rating: A
Kiana is beautiful, cunning, manipulative, and doesn’t care one way or the other what people think about her. She’s been a prefect since her fifth year, and uses that power to make sure that the muggleborns remember their place and just get themselves out of the wizarding world. An ardent pro-blood supporter, and popular only among the most elite at Hogwarts.

Maximus Longbottom: Slytherin [Main Plot]
--Sixth Year
--Pureblood
--Magical Rating: AA+
Almost a copy of his sister Kiana, but far more easy-going and popular. It’s no stretch to call him the most popular pro-blood boy at Hogwarts, really; he has a way of making people comfortable when he talks. If only they knew that his steel-trap mind was storing away that information for future use. Mortal enemy of Reid Finch-Fletchey.

Tristan Longbottom & Natalie Finch-Fletchey

Reid Finch-Fletchey: Gryffindor
--Sixth Year
--Part-Blood
--Magical Rating: AA+
The only wizard in his year who can rival Maximus Longbottom; in fact, he might be the only wizard in their entire generation who can. Of course, they’ve both got the famous Longbottom blood… But I digress. Reid is the defender of the week, the boy who proves that part-bloods can, in fact be as powerful as the pure-bloods. Handsome, popular among the part-bloods and muggleborns, and about as anti-blood as you can get.

Edward Ringo & Julia Brocklehurst

Dustin Ringo: Hufflepuff
--Seventh Year
--Part-Blood
--Magical Rating: B
The son of the first two true part-blood elitists, Dustin lives up to his parent’s expectations. A decently powerful wizard, proving that elite part-bloods are superior to muggleborns. Conniving in a very obvious sort of way, and very aware of what others think of him. The ringleader of his own little band of pro-blood part-bloods.

Marianne Ringo: Ravenclaw
--Sixth Year
--Part-Blood
--Magical Rating: C
The question everyone asks about Marianne: Why was she sorted into Ravenclaw? Sure, Marianne’s smart, but she was just as elitist as her brother—or is she? She certainly plays the part well, and only associates with other part-blood elites. That house just has everyone wondering. Maybe the Sorting Hat does still judge on personality.

Lance Potter & Swan Anderson

Willow Potter: Gryffindor [Main Plot]
--Fifth Year
--Muggle-Born
--Magical Rating: C
Impulsive, defiant, brilliant, and muggle-born. All of those were bound to land Willow in Gryffindor. She’s an idealistic young woman who refuses to believe that the wizarding world is doomed to fail. All it needs is a good dash of sensibility to make it realize that she, a muggle-born, is an average witch. One of the leaders of the small, indecisive, anti-blood student organization.

Kason Potter: Ravenclaw
--Second Year
--Muggle-Born
--Magical Rating: D
The polar opposite of his sister Willow. Kason is level-headed, especially for one of his age, and actually wanted to quit Hogwarts after his first year of being treated like garbage. He didn’t admit this to his parents, as the young boy has something of a proud streak in him. Not especially bright, but he was neither a Gryffindor, a Hufflepuff, or a Slytherin: Ravenclaw was what was left.

Everett Malfoy – Brooke White

Tyler White: Ravenclaw [Main Plot]
--Seventh Year
--Muggle-Born
--Magical Rating: C

The product of Everett Malfoy's rape of a twelve-year old girl, Tyler Potter realized that he bore a striking resemblance to several students at Hogwarts, especially one Donovan Malfoy, and put the pieces together. Tyler doesn’t know which of the Malfoy men is his father, but is sure it’s one of them. He just has to find out which one. Sometimes, he realizes that he wants to hurt his father in horrible ways—and that scares him. Is he the sort of monster that his father was, or is it just anger at what kind of man could have done that to his mother? After all, Tyler does love his young mother with all of his heart.

Leo Malfoy & Helene Nott

Branson Malfoy: Squib [Main Plot]
--Pureblood
The outcast of the Malfoy family, who was shipped to live with distant cousins in Russia when he was seven. No one knows where he’s gone, and no one really cares. After all, he’s a squib. He’s likely a very self-concious, quiet, ashamed young man.

Jalynn Malfoy: Slytherin [Graduated]
--Pureblood
--Magical Rating: A

Maura Malfoy: Slytherin [Graduated]
--Pureblood
--Magical Rating: B

Lorena Malfoy: Slytherin
--Seventh Year
--Pureblood
--Magical Rating: B
Conniving, manipulative, and a Malfoy. She should have been prefect, but Kiana Longbottom took that from her. I bet Kiana slept with the headmaster… You see, spreading rumors to hurt her enemies is what Lorena does best.

Juliette Malfoy: Slytherin [Main Plot]
--Sixth Year
--Pureblood
--Magical Rating: A
The only person who can beat Lorena at her own game. Juliette has such natural beauty that she surpasses even her part-veela classmates, and makes boys drool; quick to give them a quick kiss, but saving herself for rich, handsome marriage material. She isn’t overly sweet to your face if she doesn’t like you, but at least gives you the impression of being an honest person who doesn’t care for your personality. If only. Her potent rumors are so subtle and rare that people don’t even realize she spread them. Juliette takes credit for Kiana Longbottom making prefect over her sister; you see, she spread a rumor about the prefets (and therefore professors) that Lorena was sleeping with Taylor Zawieja in return for her History of Magic essays.

Donovan Malfoy: Slytherin [Main Plot]
--Fifth Year
--Pureblood
--Magical Rating: AA
Leo Malfoy found his heir in Donovan Malfoy: a leader with enough common sense not to make him as hated as Lorena, or even Juliette. The most powerful of all his classmates, and boasts that he even beat Maximus Longbottom in a duel once (a lie, as Maximus is certainly his superior). Treats non-purebloods as the second-class citizens they are, but says he appreciates that they’re keeping the muggles out.

Patrick Brocklehurst & Natalie Finch-Fletchey

Charlotte Brocklehurst: Gryffindor [Main Plot]
--Fourth Year
--Part-Blood
--Magical Rating: AA
Not the most brilliant girl when it comes to book learning, Charlotte is nevertheless a very powerful witch, and proof that the Brocklehurst blood is stronger than almost any blood, pureblood or otherwise—the notable exceptions being the Longbottoms, and perhaps the D’Atannas. Styles herself the savior of the part-bloods and muggleborns, when she is nothing more than a fifteen year old girl who often takes on more than she should.

Nicholas Brocklehurst: Ravenclaw [Main Plot]
--Fourth Year
--Part-Blood
--Magical Rating: A
The quieter of the twins, and the lesser one when it comes to magicality. He’s smarter than his sister, more level-headed, and somewhat prone to give into the pro-blood pressure around him. After all, he grew up giving in to Lexi’s fiery nature, so why should he start standing up for himself now? A shy romantic who admires his half-brother Reid more than anyone he knows.

Stewart Acklery III & Clarabelle Bauce

Stewart Acklery IV: Slytherin [Main Plot]
--Sixth Year
--Pure-Blood
--Magical Rating: A
He was born a few months before his parents were married—so what? Okay, so Stewart IV (or “Foury,” as he’s affectionately called by family) has always been a little ashamed of it. But he’s learned to make it his strength instead of his weakness, and doesn’t allow it to bother him. He’s as manipulative and heartless as his father, perhaps the handsomest boy at Hogwarts, and a noted womanizer.

Marietta Acklery: Slytherin
--Fourth Year
--Pure-Blood
--Magical Rating: C
Poor Marietta—she’s continuing proof that females in the Acklery line just don’t get the magic their male counterparts do. If she wasn’t a dull girl, that wouldn’t matter too much. Unfortunately, she is dull, plain, and boring. A disgrace to her intelligent, Slytherin parents, truth be told.

Elwood Acklery: Gryffindor [Main Plot]
--Second Year
--Pure-Blood
--Magical Rating: A
The son of an Acklery and Clarabelle Bauce in Gryffindor. You have got to be kidding. But it’s true. The young second-year was sorted into Gryffindor despite his public pro-blood tendancies. Okay, maybe he’s always been the little boy who brings home stray animals. But that doesn’t mean he has to bring home stray muggleborns, as he was as shocked as everyone else to hear the hat call out the mixed-blood house.

Arthur Weasley II – Laney Boot

Arthur Weasley III: Hufflepuff
--Seventh Year
--Half-Blood
--Magical Rating: B
Their parents were blood-neutral, but Arthur was the first of his siblings to attend Hogwarts, and therefore the first one to give in to the constant pro-blood pressure. Very much a leader without realizing it, he has the potential to rise far amongst the half-bloods

Christopher Weasley: Hufflepuff
--Fourth Year
--Half-Blood
--Magical Rating: D
Somewhat sweeter than his big brother, Christopher is nevertheless a young boy who is very easily pushed around into believing whatever the speaker wants him to. Very proud of his half-blood heritage, and uses it to his advantage.

Hailey Weasley: Hufflepuff
--Third Year
--Half-Blood
--Magical Rating: D
The youngest and most sensible of the three Boot children; Hailey is a sweet, innocent little girl who just wants everyone to get along. She is a frustration to some of her more elitist house members, but Artie is always there to watch out for his pretty little sister.

Jackson Sauter & Alice Penelle
Jay Sauter: Gryffindor [Main Plot]
--Sixth Year
--Pure-Blood
--Magical Rating: A
Quite simply, a born leader. Jay took his mother's lessons about the unfair treatment of muggleborns to heart, and believes that there is a way to make change. How? He's not sure yet. Heck, he hasn't even come up with a name for his 'society', and they are usually just called "The Group." Whatever that means. Charismatic, trustworthy, and a person who you wouldn't expect to be pure-blood.

Joy Sauter: Ravenclaw
--Fifth Year
--Pure-Blood
--Magical Rating: A
Joy seems to be proof that the Sorting Hat does, occasionally, place people in houses based on merit rather than blood. She is a studious, quick-witted young woman who approaches The Weakening with a logical outlook: namely, that the pro-bloods are right. Sure, they don't have to be as big of jerks about it as they are, but there's no denying the truth of what they preach.

Tim Sauter: Gryffindor [Main Plot]
--Second Year
--Pure-Blood
--Magical Rating: B
The baby of the Sauter family, and therefore the one that received the most attention from his father. Because of that, Tim was much more likely to side with the pro-bloods; and then he realized that Jay was doing quite the opposite by instigating a semi-resistance. He's the youngest member of the as of yet nameless organization, and even though many of the members fear that he'll spread rumors, Jay has stuck staunchly by his side.

Other Notable Characters:
These are the people I didn’t make mini-bios for, because it was just getting to be too much. But they have the potential to become plot-centric—not saying that any character can’t become a main character in the plot. These are just more likely.

Andrew Potter & Cheyenne Acklery
_________ Potter -- Seventh Year [pb]
Joelle Potter -- Fifth Year [pb]
A Note: these children are the opposite of the muggle-born Potter children. They are pro-blood, used to being given what they want, and still “worshipped” as the descendents of Harry Potter. They will be important to the plot, but are fairly open—other than their pro-blood status

Jordan Potter & Ava Crabbe
_________ Potter -- Seventh Year [pb]
Meadow Potter --Fifth Year [pb]
_________ Potter -- Fourth Year [pb]
See note for Andrew Potter & Cheyenne Acklery’s children

Sterling Weasley & Autumn Finch-Fletchey
Cliff Weasley -- Sixth Year [bn+]
_________ Weasley --Fourth Year [ab+]
_________ Weasley -- Fourth Year [bn-]
Sterling was one of the few half-bloods brave enough to marry the woman he loved and not care if she was only a part-blood. Their children are going to be something of rejects; the half-bloods see them as below them, whereas the part-bloods think they’re snotty wannabes.

Nathaniel Zawieja & Helen Edwards
_________ Zawieja -- Sixth Year [bn]
_________ Zawieja -- Fifth Year [bn]
_________ Zawieja -- Second Year [bn]
The Zawieja kids are going to be some of the very few muggleborns who have parents who have gone to Hogwarts. Gosh, their grandmother Jillian was a nutso pure-blood who gave it all up to marry a muggle. They style themselves as being better than the muggleborns, most of whom don’t know enough about the caste system to protest.

Caleb Brown & Krystal Zawieja
_________ Brown -- Seventh Year [bn+]
See note on Nathaniel Zawieja's children; note also that this girl was born the only child to a middle-aged couple.

Henry Penelle & Tara Elizey
_________ Penelle -- Fifth Year [bn]
_________ Penelle -- Fourth Year [ab+]
The Penelles are nice. Okay, so their kids might give into peer-pressure and become pro-blood, but the family is, in general, supportive of anti-blood tactics, which is unheard of for a pureblood family. Mum doesn’t like it.
