Ok, I'm so tired of it. My brother and sister and I are in a band called, Soul Sacrifice (www.SoulSacrifice.net). And yes, I'm the ugly one in the front w/ the red guitar.
And yeah, as you can see from our site, we are a Christian band, what's it to you????
So we get no respect, none at all. When we go play a gig w another band somewehere, the just laugh and Mock. They say things like, "so how's Jesus?" or "I'm happy to be going to hell!"
Over and over they tell us we're total losers cuz they say the whole reason to be in a band is to get laid and like, you Christians aren't getting laid so you're totally wasting time.
I alwasy say Creed is a Christian band, kind of. And they're like, Creed blows, it totally blows, and it's gone, its called the altered boys now or something.

Wow, saddos, how can they put you and your band down just because of the christian background, its totally wrong IMO, But it will be a hard thing to get out of really, has it been all gigs and people you have played for, or is there a certain crowd that dont give you all this nonsense?

That's a good question Captin. Well the problem is that we're hard rock, so we play with other hard rock bands. See we want to keep it legit and we don't want to play with other Christian Bands. Jesus called us to go out and share the gospel with the whole world, and that aint going to happen if we play to audiences of Christians with other Christian bands. See thats just a waste of time. They've already got Jesus.
You see, if we did that, no one would give us a hard time.
We've chosen to play with and among the non-believers and, well as you might guess, they don't alwasy want to hear us play. See we try to minister to the messed up kids that are fighting deppression and contemplating suicide. You wouldn't believe how many hard rock kids out there think about sucide all the time. You see, these kids are empty, there looking for something in their life and the only thing that can fill that need is Jesus Christ.
See, they fill that with rock, and they fill that with drugs and they fill that with sex, but after a while, all that stuff just doesn't satisfy and thats when they get depressed.
We see ourselves as Ministers really, we take care of the lost and sick.

People are just ignorant. I don't personally listen to any Christian rock bands, but that's because I've never really had the care to. However if I was at a gig and they were playing, I wouldn't disrespect them or anything. To have the courage to get up on stage and sing and play music is a very commendable thing and I don't believe in mocking people for doing something that is considered hard.

Underoath is a Christian band and EVERYONE respects them. I have listened to some Christian music like Mercy Me and 4Him. But yes, there are just assholes in this world. Maybe ya'll could write a song about respect and giving stuff a chance and listening. Maybe that would open their eyes.
Also, Lola, a Christian band is a band that plays music that sends out a message. A message about Jesus.
