The Daily Prophet - Important Information

Hello Hogwarts, my name is Katy Ackerman and I am the new Owner and Editor-In-Chief of The Daily Prophet.

Some new changes are taking place at The Daily Prophet that we wanted to let you know about them since they are directly related to your school.

Firstly, The Daily Prophet has welcomed your school paper into its fold. The HO Pensieve will serve as a Monday through Friday paper for the Hogwarts Students and Staff where you will be kept up-to-date on the announcements regarding your school.

Secondly, The Daily Prophet has decided that in addition to its daily morning and evening paper to the rest of the wizard world we are going to produce a special issue of The Daily Prophet specifically for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This special edition of The Prophet will be available every two weeks, unless we find that the news is so fast paced that a weekly paper would be more useful. In this special edition you'll find all the biggest wizard and muggle news stories from the previous week(s) as well as a section deditcated to your school. There are other features as well but you'll just have to wait and see what they are.

Lastly, with the changes taking place at The Daily Prophet, I am currently looking for a staff of writers. At this time only adults are being hired, though we shortly hope to have our internship program up and running with Hogwarts.

Letters to the Editor:

We encourage letters to the Editor. They must be 250 words or less. Can be in regards to any printed story, other news story or correction. Letters to the Editor should be sent to Katy Ackerman by Owl Mail.

Any comment on any topic of your interest is welcome to "Tell it to the DP". Please make sure it is in good taste. "Tell it to the DP" comments should be sent to Katy Ackerman by Owl Mail.

Dear Victoria

Are you confused about a situation? Not sure what to do? Send a letter to Dear Victoria and she just might pick your letter for her column in The Daily Prophet. All situations and problems are welcome, so feel free to write about anything. To keep Dear Victoria's identity a secret all letters should be sent to Katy Ackerman by Owl Mail, with subject line Dear Victoria, so it will be forwarded on.
