Harassment, according to Wikipedia, is any form of actions that are meant to disrupt or upset someone or a situation. The Governors will NOT tolerate any form of harassment, whether big or small. This being said, harassment that takes place on YIM, is also room for Governor intervention. If you are attacking a member continually about something that took place on HO, we have a right to ban you or punish you for those actions.

In the past, we have had issues with harassment. Incidents have been on the site and off the site. Sometimes the Governors were called biased, however I aim to stop all those rumors and nasty name calling. If you feel as if you are being harassed, you should present all materials [WITH SUPPORT!] to any of the Governors, or just send it to all of us. We will contact the persons involved and try to resolve the matter through healthy confrontation of all issues. However, reoccurrence will be given more investigative insight and can result in the person(s) being banned from the site.

I want to also clear up the question of IC v OOC. If a character is rude to you, that doesn't automatically mean they are harassing you. Something a character does is totally separate from the writers. However, harassment OOC will not be welcomed on this site.

In the "real world", harassment is a serious offense. As such, it will be treated like that here. And that goes for being overly rude to a new person [OOC more generally].

Thank you,
The Governors
