HAIR: Elonya has long pale blonde hair that falls almost to her waist in a wild mane of untameable ringlets. It is impossibly thick and bouncy and is always falling into her face and blowing about in the wind. Her father always forbade her from cutting it, but Elonya's found that she likes how her mass of curls seems to dance behind her in the wind. She's figured out long ago that the boys find it attractive and she enjoys the attention... or at least she did back when everything was simpler.

EYES: Elonya has her father's light blue eyes, though they have a more human shape due to her mother. They are smaller and less angled than an elf's eyes, but framed with long blonde lashes. They are very expressive and can range from wide with wonder to narrowed in fury. The colour of her eyes turns a dull shade of grey when she is sad, as does her father's. Tevran's eyes have remained that shade of grey since his wife died and since Elonya left, nothing has been able to coax any colour back into them.

BODY: Elonya is 5'3" and weighs 110 pounds. Typical of a half-elf, she is taller and heavier than a typical elf, but small and slight by human standards. She moves with grace and fluidity on her good days, but on her bad days, she can be as clumsy as her mother was, knocking things over and tripping over things she wasn't watching carefully enough to see. Her skin is pale and smooth like her father, but lacks the haunting glow elves possess. Her ears are slightly pointed at the tips (as is typical for a half-elf), but when covered by her hair, is completely unnoticeable and she looks like a human if one can't see her ears.

FACE: Elonya's face is a long, oval shape but broad like a human's. She has very little definition to her jaw, chin and cheekbones, still possessing most of her baby fat, as she's only just come of age a couple of years ago. Her eyebrows are a light, sandy brown and sit highly arched over her eyes, and her nose is small with equally as little definition as the rest of her face. Her lips are rather small but have a slight butterfly shape.

SCENT: Elonya smells like a freshly cut wheat field most of the time.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: While Elonya is still generally sweet and kind-hearted, she is not the same girl she used to be back in year one. Once an innocent young woman full of hope and ambition for the future, believing that someday her prince would come to carry her off into the sunset on a white steed where she would live happily ever after, Elonya is now rather jaded towards these ideas. Those fantasies were before she ever experienced any real heartbreak, but now she knows better. For a time, it seemed like her life would have its fairytale ending and that she'd live happily ever after, but that life is gone and she spends most of her time mourning the loss of almost everything she held dear to her, though perhaps she is still just as naive as she was then because she finds herself clinging to the hope of somehow bringing her broken family back together and things being the way they were before. It isthe only hope she has left to cling to.

Elonya loves her father very much and he loves her, but there is a lot of tension between the two of them. It started when Elonya's mother died and only escalated over the years until it led to her being thrown out of the house, along with her lover and adopted younger brother. Tevran always treated Elonya like a child and this ultimately led to her rebelling against him and their relationship falling apart. All of Elonya's close relationships have been shattered and she's been left alone and devastated with no one to care for her or the child she carries in her belly from a brief love affair that ended in ruin as well.

Now, Elonya looks back on her old world view with a certain amount of disgust with herself. She lived in her own little bubble of innocence most of the time. She had the foolish idea in her head that danger did not exist, or if it did, that it wouldn't affect her or her family. Always impulsive along with being naive, Elonya used to jump hastily into things, including romantic affairs to rebel against her father and try to assert her independence. Although eager to engage in romantic affairs to prove herself an adult, her naivety and impulsive nature made her too immature to handle a serious relationship, even though she would have liked to believe that the first man she fell in love with would be the man she lived happily-ever-after with. That, of course, was an idiotic notion that left her alone and heartbroken with nothing but a swollen belly to show for her time spent with her lover.

Elonya never had much confidence in herself, despite her frequent fantasies of running off to be a great adventurer who fell in love and had the perfect life. Years and years of being scolded by her father for having her head in the clouds and her local reputation for being the village airhead eventually placed its mark on her, succeeding in convincing her that she was useless. Everything she's tried to do in her life to prove people wrong in this assumption has blown up in her face and left her confidence even more diminished than before. She has no idea what she's going to do when she gives birth to the baby she's carrying and the thought of having to be responsible for such a tiny, precious, fragile thing when she can't even be responsible for herself terrifies her. She's finally realised just how cold and unforgiving the real world is and the playful, innocent girl who used to daydream about princes and adventures is no more.

FRIENDSHIP: Elonya is rather easy to befriend, as she's generally friendly and pleasant towards everyone she meets. She's particularly vulnerable and desperate for someone to open their arms to her right now. Because of her parentage, she detests racial prejudices so race is not a factor at all when she is meeting someone for the first time. She is quick to anger if you wrong her, but also quick to forgive once you apologise. Being called a stupid naive child used to anger her, but now she'd probably agree with you, believing herself to be stupid to think such fanciful things.

ROMANCE: Elonya is still very much in love with Lacerta and wants him back. She desperately wants them to be together and raise a happy family and have things be as they were before everything fell apart, so she isn't looking for love. The only person whose love she wants is Lacerta's, and she's unable to accept that it's over between them and just let him go. While this means that she isn't looking for love from anyone else, she feels very alone and vulnerable right now so it would be easy for someone to take advantage of that to manipulate her into a relationship, even if that's not truly what she wants. It's all too easy to play on her fear of being alone and use that to trap her.

CHILDHOOD: Elonya was born to a human mother and an elven father; Deirdre and Tevran. Tevran lived among the elves in their forested community and met fifteen-year-old Dierdre late one night when he stumbled across the broken girl lying in a patch of brambles. He took her to the local elven healer and later found out that the girl's family had abandoned her in the forest to die because they couldn't afford to keep her any longer and the elven community took the girl in, though more out of pity for the human than anything else. Her and Tevran ended up falling in love in this time, and when Dierdre found out she was expecting a child of Tevran's, he was thrilled and promptly married her to honour her human traditions, since marriage is uncommon among elves. Deirdre gave birth to the half-elf, Elonya, nine moons later and Elonya spent the first seven years of her life living with the elves, but she and her family were treated differently from everyone else. While not hostile or vicious towards the "mis-matched" family, the other elves looked at Elonya with pity and Tevran and Dierdre with a certain amount of distaste for inter-breeding together. Dierdre finally had enough of her and her family feeling like outcasts and begged her husband to relocate to an area where races were more mixed, thinking it would be healthier for their daughter. Tevran (reluctantly) agreed and brought his wife and young daughter to a small village outside the elven forest where they founded a small farm and did well for themselves.

ADOLESCENCE: Elonya spent her teenage years living on the outskirts of the village and helping her parents run their small, but prosperous farm. Her father often lamented his daughter's lack of focus and her habit of getting distracted from chores and running off to explore or play, but her ever-gentle mother simply laughed it off, saying that it was good for her to play as much as she could while she was still young enough to do so. Elonya developed a small amount of nature magic inherited from her father, along with some simplistic healing magic her mother learned over the years and taught to her daughter. Elonya had a happy upbringing until the year she turned seventeen and her mother suddenly fell ill with a disease no one in their village could diagnose.

ADULTHOOD: After five years of battling the strange, unknown illness that inhabited Dierdre's body, periodically getting better, then suddenly getting worse again, she passed away when Elonya was twenty-one. The loss devastated both her and her father. Elonya had always had an adventurous spirit that Deirdre had nurtured, but after she died, Elonya found herself having to stay home to care for her broken shell of a father, taking on nearly all of the farm work since he was too heartbroken to take up his old duties again. It caused her to harbour some resentment towards him for that and rebel against his authority.

About a year after her mother's death, Elonya's father adopted a boy named Aust Oicheilgair into their family, wanting to give him a chance to start a better life after catching him thieving and finding out he had no family. Elonya also ran into a little talking lizard named Lacerta who was munching on the strawberries in her father's field. After finding out that he was really a human who was cursed by an evil witch a few hundred years ago, Elonya convinced her father to take him in, too. The family grew close and came to love one another, but their peaceful existence wouldn't last. Aust was harbouring horrific secrets involving murder and necromancy, being manipulated by a demon masquerading as a harmless little girl's ghost. When this demon devastated the village with a fatal plague that had no cure, intending to wipe out both Erulisses and everyone else Aust had grown too close to, everything came out and the Erulisses were horrified to learn that the boy they'd grown to love was really a necromancer. What was worse was that Lacerta also revealed his skill with necromancy at the same time. While at first repulsed, it was Elonya who eventually set out to put her separated family back together, believing in the goodness inside both Aust and Lacerta. She'd been the substitute healer during this time while Tam was away on a trip and while she did her best, she fell ill herself and wasn't able to save any lives, which she views as a failure on her part. She and Lacerta had also grown close in all that time and after Lacerta's curse was finally lifted (at least partially), it wasn't long before they started seeing each other in secret and Elonya fell in love quickly.

Their secret love affair lasted for quite some time with neither Tevran nor Aust being any the wiser to what was going on between Elonya and Lacerta. The two of them had many plans to go away on adventures, get married, raise a family together and live happily ever after... everything Elonya had always dreamed of for herself and she was in bliss, believing that she was on her way to her happy ending. The two of them ran off to Goldbridge together on an impulsive whim one night, leaving without a trace for several days. Upon their return, Tevran was furious but when it was discovered that Lacerta had brought his daughter home with a child in her belly, he lost his temper completely, throwing Lacerta out of the house. In protest, Aust left the home, too, deciding to go with Lacerta. Lacerta thought it best to end things with Elonya to make it easier on her, believing that breaking things off with her would let her repair things with her father without him causing problems and both she and their baby would be taken care of, still.

This did not happen, however. Torn apart by heartbreak, Elonya blamed her father for Lacerta leaving her and they had a fight so terrible, Tevran smacked her and kicked her out as well, under the impression that she would go with Lacerta and Aust and be taken care of by them. Unfortunately by that point, Lacerta and Aust were long gone and Elonya had no idea where to start looking for them so she was left homeless and wandering, fighting off starvation and other dangers on her own that she was poorly prepared for. She was just barely scraping by, wandering aimlessly with no one to care for her or her unborn child, utterly alone and helpless while both her father and her ex-lover remain under the impression that the other one is looking after her.

After several seasons, her friend Tam found her and immediately seeing that she was sick and pregnant, took her to his clinic to heal her. She ended up confessing the desperation of her situation to him and he is now caring for her, allowing her to have his old bedroom in the clinic and making sure she stays warm and fed and safe. As a result, Elonya has attached herself to him, terrified of being alone again.
