Claudia smiled and handed the paper over. "Right there. Gabriel's signature and yours. You are now the proud guardian angel of the earth. Looks like you're freelance until you find someone now."

Weiss beamed and took the papers to get a closer look at them.
"Hot stuff! Ooh, he dots his 'i's' all nifty." The Angel stood and gazed at the signed paperwork in his hands, just grinning like an idiot in a trance. Excitement will do that as well.
...Maybe.

Rolling up the papers and gingerly tucking them into his cloak pocket, Weiss straightened up,glancing back to admire his more prominent set of wings, which may have explained his earlier clumsiness.

"Wah...awesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeAWESOME!!" He could no longer keep in the excitement. So, he began leaping around, nearly smashing into everything and avoiding doing so by fractional evasiveness.

Perhaps this was the reason why he hadn't been assigned yet. >>'

(Hey. Sorry for being gone so long. My laptop fritzed out. Ugh. I still need to get the cord shipped here.)

Claudia watched Weiss, afraid that he would literally burst through the roof. "Hey, slow down!" she laughed, jumping to the ground and putting her hands on his arms as though to hold him in place. "Are you fighting for the rank of 'the Angel of Hyperactivity'? I think you won already!" She couldn't help but feel excited around him all the time. He was like a natural high.

"Those are nice 'i's, though," she added.

Weiss laughed, and kept himself still.

"Heh, sorry, I guess I'm overreacting over something like that...but I just can't help it! It's not a high ranking position or anything, but geez! Guardian Angel! Come on...! I can go back to earth and like, help people out and...and mingle with folks and....!!"
Weiss paused, laughing lightly. "Ah, there I go again..."

A moment of thought kept him relatively settled down. "Soooo...I wonder, what ought I to do next? Just head down to earth somewhere and walk around waiting for stuff to happen...or do I gotta stay up here and lie around waiting for assignments to come in? That can't be as much fun as sightseeing with spare time...hmmm..."

This phase of pensiveness kept the excitable Angel somber for a while, thankfully.

Claudia smiled at him again. "I remember that I always just went down to earth and looked around for someone who needed me. There are lots of humans down there who're stubborn and annoying as they beg for miracles, but sometimes, you can find one who just needs you." She clapped his shoulder. "I bet you'll find someone in a great place so that you can explore." As she said the last word, she dragged her hand in the sky as though it deserved to be printed with lights.

"Aha," Weiss spoke quietly, gazing toward the sky. "Maybe so. Perhaps I ought to start off somewhere where I might run into you or something... maybe a trip to the New York area isn't such a bad idea... I'm sure there's plenty of people in need there..."

For a moment, the calmness seemed to turn to sorrow, but it lifted just as soon as it came.

"I always did want to try New York pizza! Can angels eat? I really wanna try some of that pizza! I always wanted to, but never did, and I wish I had... gosh, I hope so."

"Of course angels can eat," Claudia answered. "We just don't gain weight, thankfully. I swear, I've probably eaten the same amount of that pizza in a year that most humans eat in a lifetime." She smiled as she remembered the taste of it. "Even if everyone in New York was happy, I'd stick around there just for the pizza."

Weiss smiled broadly. "I can't wait then. I suppose I can go down any time, then, and start looking for people to help, first and foremost...and then...PIZZA!" He laughed and poked his own stomach. "To think I won't gain any weight either. Whoo, that's one heckuva perk!"
