Ali smiled, as she spun 'round the room, socked feet causing her to slide. The music was turned up indecently loud, and she swayed her hips to the island-ish beat enjoying the feeling of the ankel lenght skirt as it twirled around her. As the song came to an end, she froze, bursting into laughter at the sight of her blue bikini clad top in the mirror. What had posessed her to wear it (or even buy it) on the cold winter's day was beyond her.

Changing into a decent top, and some comfy jeans, she flopped onto the navy blue comforter of her bed. She had completed her 'act like an idiot' moment for the weekend, and now there was only one thing left to do before her 2 days of bliss could officially end.

"Now where is that angel of mine?" She mused aloud.

"You called?" Milo asked, suddenly standing professionaly against her wall, hands clasped behind his back. His hair was, as typical, pulled back into a tidy tie and his tall frame seemed to take up much too much of the room. He smiled down at Ali, cocking his eyebrow in a completely unprofessional air. "You haven't been doing anything stupid, have you?"

Ali's smiled widened, he never ceased to come when she called, "Now what would make you think that? It's not like I do stupid things regularly or any thing."

"Is that a fact?" Milo inquired skeptically as he crossed the room to stand next to her. He moved unnaturally, unused to the absence of his great wings. "I seem to remember a case of your stubbornly skipping about in the rain until you made yourself ill."

Ali began to respond, but Milo cut her off. "And following that incident, I had to nurture you for a week, nearly burning the house down a number of times while making soup." Milo pointed accusingly at Ali. "Which, of course, had you not gotten sick, wouldn't have happened."

She chuckled nevously, looking away from him and chewing on her bottom lip. "Ok so, maybe I've been stupid once or twice." He opened his mouth to speak but she cut him off, "Any way," she threw her legs over the side of the bed, "I'm bored."

"Aren't you always?" Milo asked incredulously as he sat at the end of Ali's bed. "Have you finished your homework?" He spoke in a very paternal voice, though there was a mocking in it.

"Yes and maybe." she answered both his questions at once, then feeling the tugging in her stomach that she offten did when she lied to him she groaned and fall back onto the bed, "Do i have to Milo? Can't we just, go out for a while and finish it when I get home?"

If there was one thing she hated it was homework, or more, starting homework. If she was already doing it, it wasn't hard to finish, but actually begining to do it, well, that took little less than being forced.

"All I have is, Biology and Math." She attempted to give him her best 'You know I'm adorable, so can i have my way' face, "Pppllleeaaasseee?"

"Alright... one flight. But if you squirm this time, I won't be held responsible to any damage to your person." This was actually a complete lie. Not only would he be blamed completely by his employer, but he would never (ever) forgive himself. Then again, Milo would never put Ali in a position that endangered her in any way. Their flights were completly safe. And Ali was addicted to them. "Dress warmly," Milo advised.

Clapping her hands with a slight squeel, Ali skipped out of the room to find clothes, wondering if ice-cream for breakfast had been such a good idea. Figureing it didn't really matter, she threw on a freshly dried sweater, fuzzy coat, knee high socks, and comfy boots.

Mom. Gone. Back. Soon. xoxox, Ali

She wrote quickly on a neon pink post it, sticking it on the fridge where her mom probably wouldn't find it any way. She'd be back before her mom any way, so it didn't really matter. She bounded back into her room in under 4 minutes from the time she had left.

"All right, lets go."

Milo already had the window open, and the soft breeze was billowing the curtains in an fairly endearing fashion about Milo's form, the shadows playing across his face. When Ali appeared again, he granted her a small smile, then ushered her to stand before him. The two stood on the bay window's sill, gazing down at the ground so far below. Milo suddenly embraced Ali, transfering some of his weightlesness to her, then fell sideways into the crisp night air.

For a few breathless moments, they plummeted towards the ground. As always, though, Milo's wings suddenly were, coming into existence with a soft whoosh.

And they were flying.

Her smile could not have spread any wider as she lifted her arms out, quite confidant that Milo would not let her fall. There was nothing she enjoyed more than the feeling of flying. The weightlessness, the wind rushing past her face, the vision of unsuspecting people wandering below, it made her feel more alive then anything else within the world.

'Not that this is particularly of this world.' She reminded herself.

Struck with a sudden thought she tilted her face slightly upward so that he would hear, "Hey Milo, can we go to the park and see the ducks?"

It was a completely rendom request, born from a mix between the sugar in her system, and the high of flying; and perhaps she had seen a documentary on ducks the night before. Completely by a friends request of coarse.

"So you watched that documentary, then? I found it interesting, myself... a bit vivid for my taste, but there were some beautiful shots." As he spoke, Milo wheeled in the general direction of the park, always eager to appease Ali's smallest wishes.

She shrugged, "It was ok. I nearly cried when the mallard got eaten by the crocodile. Leaving behind all thoes poor little baby duckys." She sniffed for good measure, ignoreing the fact that mallards and crocodiles probably live no where near each other.

Milo, as a matter of fact, knew exactly where mallards lived, where crocodiles dwelled, and what they ate. He didn't tell her this, though, as she was rather enjoying herself. Besides, he wouldn't want to worry her into starting some Defense for Duck Deaths commitee. Honestly, he wouldn't put it past her.

"How do you think Waldo is?" She questioned, refering to the ducking she had named a while back, "Do you think the others are being nice to him? He is black instead of yellow you know, and I've seen Gertrude be mean to the others before just for quacking slightly off tune."

Despite weather or not Gertrude was actually this way matter little, she truly was concirned for the black duckling which she had quickly become attached to.
