She spun, looking over her shoulder and then forward again. There had to be something wrong, some reason why she shouldn’t get it. To short maybe? Her arms lifted above her head. No… Wrong color? She looked at her skin, and then the item. That wasn’t it either. She spun again. There had to be something…

“Maybe it’s perfect and you should buy it.”
Ali gasped, placing her hand over her rapidly beating heart in surprise, “Milo!” She hissed, “What are you doing here? You nearly have me a heart attack!”
He grinned sheepishly, “Sorry.”
She snorted through her nose, tuning back to the mirror, “Are you even allowed to be in my dressing room?”
He shrugged, “I go where you go.”
“Yes, but my dressing room? What are you going to save me from, rabid hangers?”
“Perhaps.” She just rolled her eyes, “I don’t know what you’re so worked up about. It’s not like I showed up while you were actually changing.”
“Yes, then I would have screamed, people would have run in, want to know what happened, I’d tell them, and then get sent to the nut house.” She paused and smiled at the angel who was sitting on a shelf as though he didn’t weigh a thing, (which in all reality he probably didn’t) “I’ve always wanted to play in one of those padded rooms.”
With a chuckle he shook his head, though said nothing as she turned back to inspect the dress.

In his opinion it really was perfect. The deep red shade contrasted her hair and eyes splendidly, and the not-to-tight, yet not-to-huge, fit showed her figure well. Falling only to her knees, it was a halter with a modest neck line that could probably double as a strapless should the wearer wish. Finally, to top it off, a matching sheer material fell over it, glittering with designs which could only really be seen should you be looking for them.

His eyes drifted back to her face and he noticed her nose wrinkled in distaste. Sighing he hopped down and walked over to her, “I’m serious, it looks wonderful.”
“You don’t think it’s too short?” The girl questioned, tugging on the hem.
Though he already knew the answer he commanded, “Arms up.” She squirmed in mock impatience and he circled her pretending to think deeply. When he had made a full lap around her, he took his hand from his chin and smiled, “It’s fine.”
She frowned, “Are you sure?”
“Ali,” One hand went to each shoulder as she shook her gently, gaining her attention, “you’re gorgeous.”
She gave him a look which said, ‘Why should I believe you?’
“I’m your guardian angel, I’m not allowed to lie, remember?”
She smiled her beautiful smile, “I guess you’re right.”
“Of coarse I am.” He tapped her nose lightly, walking to the opposite wall and leaning against it as she spun one more time.
“All right, I’ll get it.” She turned to him and grinned. He did the same and was momentarily lost in her soft brown eyes, “which means you have to leave now so that I can change.”
She giggled at the blush that stained his cheeks, “I’ll be outside when you’re done.”
Then he disappeared with the small poof she had become so accustom to.
