"Something New", the new movie!!!

Here to give my rate and write up about this movie..
Out of 5 stars...I give this movie the complete 5 stars!!!

box office didnt do as well as it shouldve...which i expected with the movie being opened on the Superbowl weekend..and also the movie not being showed in all movie theaters!!!(i suppose it will open fully at other times)

The wrap up of the movie:(somewhat spoilerish!!!)

The concept was awesome!!! and filled with romance and comedy made it all better
Simon Baker and Sanaa Lathan(Brian & Kenya) have amazing chem!!!
I was wondering why they didnt pick a "more known" guy...but now i see its because they had amazing chemistry!! they touched on interacial couples in such a tasteful way..that its not even the full view of the movie as i thought it would!
but instead about her finding herself and love in the last place, with the last guy she expected!

Spoilers!!

so basically she is a hard working female that doesnt have time for love let alone the patience to find a good "brotha" and her friend sets her up on a blind date..which happens to be Brian(a white guy).....which she makes very obvious that shes not interested because hes not her "preference"!!!....and they part ways!
she wants her house to have landscaping work..as she admires her friends parents landscaping done to there house...she is reintroduced by her friends parents to the man who did the landscaping job(and Its Brian)
she then says she doesnt need any landscaping...but later on decides to contact him for the job.......................shes closed off...hes closed on.....she hates dogs..which he has one!...they become friends....she puts up a barricade!..he breaks it down...they connect..she pulls back over certain circumstances....
but gets drawed in to him as they kiss!(they are out in the woods hiking now!)
she stops herself and leaves to go home...he knocks on the door..she opens it...
he pulls her into him...and umh the sex scenes was HOTTT!!!..and very tasteful!
(it was one of those"you knew it happened..but they didnt show it..but the lead up was so magnificent...it did the job"!!!!)
he makes a comment about her hair weave..thats not offensive..but kinda embarrasing (lol...it was funny!..everyone in the theater laughed!)
its like when a guy asks a girl how much she weighs...hes not trying to be offensive..but you still cant believe the guy just asked you that!!!!
so over that comment she gets mad..and tells him to leave and to take his work with him...she then takes his comment in consideration..and has a self makeover!!!
when he comes to get his things....he stops and tells her shes beautiful..and she tells him not to go!..they end up getting together...
(between other things happening..there is this HOTTT scenes they share...not sex..but if you see it youll understand....trust me!!!).....
shes tense about what the public will think of their relationship
(not said but you can see when they are out...)but hes comfortable!
throughout this there is comedic appoaches to them dating eachother!!!
..........(skipping things)....they have a discussion while they are shopping in a grocery store...which leads to an arguement..which leads to them breaking up!
she starts to see another man..who her brother introduced to her earlier!
2 weeks past and she see Brians dog at her back door..which she runs to!!!
(she had liked the dog now!!!)..and Brian is at the front door...he comes in and says how he shouldve listened that night..and how he wants to be there...and says "I Love You Kenya"
she says he hasnt talked to her in 2 weeks and she moved on and she and him would never work out!..things are said!!.......................
he leaves..she goes on with the other guy(whos played by Blair Underwood)....
Brian and Kenya see eachother at a wedding of a mutual friend..in which Kenya is with her guy..and Brian is with his ex!(Kenya plays it cool..but freaks out with her girls in private....and is stunned that he moved on..eventhough she did!!)
things happen and take place all throughout the movie from this point
(that i cant type..too much!!lol)
but she realizes that shes head over heels in love with Brian...but has he returned to his ex?...has she waited too long?....is it too late?.....
(dont wanna spoil the ending!!!)
go watch and see!!!(YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED!!!)

ITA, Tara. I saw it last Saturday and LOVED it. Not only was Simon Baker's acting amazing, but he's a hottie. And I was like that woman in the restroom; Kenya's father was great. Her mom, on the other hand, was too uppity or as my family says bourgy (a shortened form of our slang for bourgeois).
