[Something strange... The lighting is dim, and comes from only one source, well off camera... Where that source is in relation to the camera is constantly changing, though, because the camera is constantly panning around at a slow rate... Keeping a position in the middle of the shot though, is a large figure, his head bowed, his long black hair hanging in his face... Occasionally we catch a glimpse of his face, which is covered in pure evil... Before last week, he might have been referred to a Corwin Havens... But now... He's just the Devil Himself...]

CH: How... Could I do the things I've done?

[He pauses, as if awaiting an answer...]

CH: How... Could I take the only two people in my life that mean a damn thing to me... And brutally assault them?

[Again, a short pause...]

CH: It takes a certain amount of sickness to put your parents up as the sacrifice in the game I played last week... It takes a whole new textbook of sicknesses to do what I did... To beat them mercilessly, and put them both in the IC unit. But why? Why would I do the things that I've done?

[Corwin stops... Just stands there... The camera continues to pan around, leaving him out of the shot... Until it comes around a full 360 and we see him again... He begins walking again to remain in the shot...]

CH: I can't be touched anymore... Nothing can be done... Fly, you can't do a thing to me anymore... You took my child.... My parents are now gone... No longer attached to me... No avenue of pain even reaches me anymore... I am liberated...

[Havens snickers to himself... Not the aloof sort of snicker we're used to hearing from him... A pointed, sickened chuckle...]

CH: What can you do to me that I haven't already done to myself, Fly? Your career has centered around picking out a person's weaknesses... Their attachments, and preying on them... I systematically removed those attachments from myself before you even had a chance... You were close... So close you could taste it... Like drops of water to a man in the desert... And in an instant, I stole it away from you... And what do you have left?

[Havens stops again, and lets the camera pan away from him... Towards the darker portion of the room...]

CH: Nothing...

[The camera again does a 360, but this time stops on the Root of All Evil, who is staring right into the lens...]

CH: Nothing but me... Nothing but a man who has nothing left to lose... Like a raging fire, I've consumed all that was around me... And all you have left to do is take those last few dangerous steps closer... So that I can burn you to a crisp as well... You're nothing, Fly... Nothing but a hapless victim in the path of the Demon...

But I have to first deal with Andy.....

[Havens looks off in the distance... As if looking at something, but his eyes focused on nothing...]

CH: The bad man is here...

[Havens aimlessly walks out of the shot, and we are left with darkness...]
