Who do you wish to be? Jung Min Ki, Jung being his family name, Min Ki being a Korean name for "Brightness and Energy" or so it is claimed. Just call him Min Ki. ^.^
He's an inquisitive dude who doesn't learn fast, essentially.
Give a full description of the character:First off, Min Ki is Korean descended, but he's third generation Japanese and an Osaka native so he considers himself pretty local. His friends always did, but the whole moving thing... yeah. He has very little patience with people who think he's fresh of the boat. Min Ki knows less about his own racial heritage than about nuclear fusion.
Second, and the thing that makes the biggest impression on people who come over and visit, is that he has a big-ass black cane (these days canes along it's line are referred to as "Pimp-canes") that he carries around with him way. Too. Much. He says it's an old family heirloom, and he doesn't want to offend his grandfather, who gave it to him. But hey, here's a secret- it's actually from his grandMOTHER!
Okay, it's actually a sword cane. He fights pretty well with it, but the main advantage of a sword cane is the element of suprise (and you can bonk people over the head with it without unsheathing the sword) so he can't very well go around /advertising/ it. Which sucks because he would /love/ to brag about it. It's got all sorts of freaky value. In Osaka, one of his Goth friends wanted to buy it off of his because of the top. It's a monkey's skull, the size of a small fist, with garnets deep in the eye sockets. Interestingly, the skull's teeth chatter randomly. Min Ki's still trying to figure that one out.
Well! I've told you a great deal about Min Ki's sword-cane but very little about him, huh? I guess I'll start.
BASICS: Some people are built to a slightly larger frame than other's around them. They take up more space, they're a little more likely to step on you if they aren't careful, they're too tall for their height and too broad for their width. Min Ki is one such boy.
He's not muscular, which just makes it worse. The boy (who is just out of highschool and doesn't know what to do with himself) is fit at best, and more describable as a frame, or a stickman, built a size too large.
He seems to have no sense of this, indeed, he often disrupts others with his greater size without noticing. He'll knock you over, having forgotten you were so close, or run so fast you can't keep up, forgetting your legs are shorter. Smaller people, who to a passerby look as though they should be cringing away from Min Ki's height, can make /him/ wince if they have the right force of personality. But he seems attracted to things that scare him. (Possibly why he keeps that skull cane around.)
He bleaches his hair blond and then dyes the highlights red. This incredibly damaging procedure has been going on ever since his senior year, and he has no intention of stopping until it falls out, at which time he has been quoted as saying he will be a "bald old guy".
However, despite having all these irregularities counting against him, he manages to make friends. Why? Who knows? Min Ki is a people person. He's loyal, that's for sure, he'll stick with someone who he likes. He likes to rough-house, and he's happy probably ninety percent of the time. It takes a lot to drag Min Ki down, and people seem to like his brand of exuberance and untiring glee.
'course, some people just find it annoying.
Min Ki likes a good fight, but only when he's winning. And he's suspiciously quick to get serious sometimes... you might suspect a sadistic streak behind those big, sweet, black eyes.
Or masochistic, the way he always comes back for more after getting pounded.
....
.....NAH....
As previously stated, Min Ki is inquisitive by nature. It is embedded in his soul to poke his brightly colored head into places it doesn't belong, and it's very unlikely that getting told not to do it, or getting beaten once or five times will discourage him from doing it again. In fact, he makes it a point /not/ to let such things discourage him. He laughs at the idea of learning from experience. (or so it would seem sometimes.)
Anything deeper, it's hard to tell with him. We'll all just have to wait and see. And we will wait. On the EDGE of OUR SEATS. (Okay, sorry 'bout that, it's 3am and I'm slap-happy. ^^
Do you have any other roleplaying experience? Y
Give me at least a one paragraph sample RP:Staring at the ceiling was not the most interesting way to pass the time. Min Ki was discovering this late, after perhaps twenty minutes or so of doing it in the darkness, thin sheets pulled up to his chest only so that they wouldn't leave his toes uncovered. He could feel his ankles hanging over the edge of the bed. Dammit! As he wondered whether the bed was too small for him or he was too big for it, his gaze shifted to to moon's reflection in his mirror. The beauty of it was not entirely lost on him, but he was more interest in falling asleep than composing sonnets to the pearly white globe in the heavens.
Then-
In a wave off sheets, Min Ki jerked upright, head cocked. For an instant he was still and silent, moonlit, quivering with sudden alertness. Then his fiery head moved, seeming to burn as his hair fell into place. Min Ki listened, eyebrows furrowing. Something wasn't right.
There it was again.
Breathlessly, he crawled over his bed, graceful as a stalking panther. (As he could be, if only he didn't thing about his motions.) His black eyes reflected no light, but instead were holes of dark in his face, wide with fear.
Min Ki wrapped his fingers around the edge of his bed and leaned down. The moon reflected in the mirror above the tableu: man staring over the edge of his bed like a child, as if searching for monsters.
And he had found one. The cane, it's rough handle always warm, lay in a pile of dirty shirts. The rubies in the little monkey eye sockets gleamed dully, glared at him reproachfully. And-
Ck-ck-ck-ck-ck...
The teeth were chattering again.
('er that wasn't very RPpost like, sorry. ><)
