For the Better, Jayson

[Kayla Howlett]

Kayla smiled softly when Jonah agreed to heal whatever internal issue Jayson had. She was going to owe the kid big time but she didn't care too much as long as Jayson was okay. She'd have to excuse Jonah from training since he wouldn't be able to use his healing and training was harsh. Kayla watched as Jonah healed Jayson. It was rare for a mutant to have the ability to heal someone else, but it usual meant they couldn't use it to heal themselves. When Jonah finished healing Jayson, the younger boy was soaked in sweat since it took a lot out of him. She was surprised that he hadn't passed out having used so much energy. When Jonah told her that he had to go nine days without his healing she smiled sheepishly. "If it helps I can get you out of training for saving his life. And I owe you big time." Kayla said as she quickly went to get a towel and help wipe some of the sweat off Jonah. "Thank you so much Jonah. You're a really good kid and I hope your family knows that."

Kayla hugged the boy gently before looking to Jayson. "Jayson?" Kayla asked softly hoping that Jayson would be alright now that he was healed.

Jonah smiled slightly "don't worry about it Kay, i can still train i'll just have to keep it limited to hand to hand combat for now" he said knowing if he stopped training then who knew how far behind he would fall.

Jayson felt, warm, very warm in fact his entire body almost burned for a couple minutes and then he felt his skin feel like it was tightening and stretching over his cuts, everything felt warm. then it continued his inside he could been someone messing around inside of him and then all at once it was gone. the anger that had held such a strong grip on his heart and mind just lessened its hold on him, and it continued to let go more and more until every ounce of anger that didn't belong..... until it was gone into nothingness and he was free. he could feel it and he knew it wasn't some fake freedom but it was real and legit. then someone called his name and he forced his eyelids to flutter open and he looked up to see kayla, and some kid, and since he knew that kayla had no healing abilities it had to be the kid who had fixed him. he looked at Kayla and smiled at her "out of all the people i wanted to see after surviving...... hell...... you're defiantly number one on my list" he said smiling at her then he turned to the other boy "i assume me being normal again is your doing? thanks kid, i owe you one" he said trying to sit up more, he felt better, better then he had ever felt but at the same time he felt weaker as well.

Kayla smiled at Jayson, relieved that he was alright. Jayson tried to sit up and Kayla helped him up a bit more. "Easy Jayson, you're probably gonna feel a bit weak for a little while. I called Jonah when you got that nasty cut on your chest. Luckily he was here so he was able to help." Kayla said with a smile. "And I'm glad I'm number one on the list of people you'd want to see after surviving hell." Kayla said as she gave him a light hug. She turned to Jonah with a smile. "I still owe you, so if there's something you need help with don't hesitate to ask, I'll try and help however I can." Kayla told the younger boy. She was really grateful to the younger boy. Hopefully his mother wouldn't be too upset with her but she knew that in times of life and death there. "I'm glad you're alright Jayson."
