SOMETIME - We Are Closed!

This is a late late message and I figure everyone assumed this anyway, but the site is now defunct. My Star Wars board ground to a halt and I had my attentions diverted many other places and lost interest. My apologies to peepsies, I'll keep the board live anyway so people can see the RP's.

You took my awesome idea and...

-weeps-

xD

Bwahahaha. Oh come on! It's a GREAT idea! I don't think Jason can act very well but he looks good and that can be a plus, right?! <.< Not like soap opera actors have to be, anyway.

He's AWESOME in Game of Thrones!

I'd be up for something set between Episode 3 and 4, but an animated comedy sounds errgghrrgrhhhhh

Well, I am personally a fan of Robot Chicken and the Star Wars segments they've done. I can see it having a lot of potential.

I concur with the earlier suggestion of the X-Wing series being made into films. I'm of the school of thought that the Force is getting too much attention and needs to be shown to the side for a bit of no-Force action.

The comedy project sounds fun, although if it will be remains to be seen. The soap opera... I'll pass on. But if Lucas wants to make money *shrug* his sandbox.

If I'm to be brutally honest, I don't think there should be made more live-action SW material. I could be proven wrong if we get shown something brilliant, but right now I'd rather see games or nothing at all. Clone Wars already proved to me how the original canon established can get retconned into something stupid. Like pacifist Mandalorians.

xD I was addressing deWinter's early claim of wanting a SW soap opera, Jabba.

I've never noticed a trend that, since Mandalorians have always been avoided when I've tried to get them involved in my plots. I've managed to get a healthy population now, but they're not really Mandalorians anymore, since we've added more structure to their culture. This was all before the Clone Wars decided to trim their claws. I've never spent much time on other RP forums beyond my own, so I don't know the reputation of Mandalorians in general. Or do you mean Fandalorians?

Onwards, I think if a new SW product hit our screens... I'd probably watch it regardless of what I feel about it. Out of loyalty. And for ammunition when I'm going to complain about it. tongue.gif

Ugh Fandalorians... That is the nicest part about having an AU site in my opinion... you can edit out a LOT of the fanbased silliness. No insane Sith, no Uber-goody-twoshoe Jedi's, and no cousins/sons/daughters of Jango or Bobba Fett.

I have to say, I would love to see some of the extended universe filmified. It would be something of a treat- assuming it was well directed and well-cast... Casting is a huge part of what makes a film and it has not always been stellar in the Star Wars filmverse.

Not only. The new trilogy's cast, for example, was superb. However, said superb trilogy cast's performance was weak and lacking. But I think I'd be safer if I didn't elaborate from hereon tongue.gif laugh.gif

Seriously! Read the X-Wing Series. It has awesome storylines and great characters. And only one Jedi if I remember correctly and even he wasn't really a Jedi. More like part-time Jedi who mostly flew his fighter and was generally a cool guy.

GOD I LOVE THE X-WING SERIES. Michael A Stackpole and Aaron Allston are so creative!

I don't want to see any more Star Wars movies, TV shows or George Lucas adventures, though. I was so disappointed with the Prequels that I took it personally. Has anyone ever watched 'Spaced'? I'm just like Tim from Spaced in regards to George Lucas, Star Wars, and the Prequels. tongue.gif

Original Trilogy and EU books written up until the Prequels were released alllll the waaay!!

The second one is supposed to be a space opera set between Episode 3 and 4. It won't have any of the main characters from the films but I believe that minor characters might make appearances. This series probably won't be seen for awhile as Lucas wanted it to be of the same caliber (visual and production value wise) as the films. However, I think it was said that they already have one or two seasons worth of scripts written. If this series ever did happen, Lucas stated that he would be in charge the first season, then hand it off to someone else.

I wish they'd let Joss Whedon do this series... I think that'd be Friggin cool as hell.

Ohh, Joss Whedon doing Star Wars would be amazing!
And I say this as someone who only liked Firefly and Dr. Horrible.
