Working with arcade game machines is one of my favorite pastimes. I built a http://www.mamedev.org arcade cabinet with my father that plays about 70 games.

It's awesome. biggrin.gif

Cool. I remember when a Pac-Man machine only did Pac-Man, etc. The first time I played a video game on an arcade machine it was Pong, the only arcade video game at that time.

Maybe you're familiar with this site:

http://www.woodonics.zoomshare.com

I haven't heard from him in several years. He said he had my LCARS system running on several PCs with broken hard disks, by making bootable USB flash drives. He used to have photos of computers running LCARS 24 on his site. Now there's only a link on his Quick Links page. And it looks at a glance like he hasn't updated the site in quite a while.

I programmed about half the games bundled in LCARS 24. The rest are from contributors but displayed in full LCARS 24 style through the LCARS 24 core. So is the calculator. The guy said it took him 18 years to program it, presumably setting it aside for long periods.

If you want to build a wooden LCARS console, there are lots of complete panels that can be downloaded and printed out, although they are not interactive like my LCARS system. If you had room for it and wanted to build a complete runabout cockpit set, all the LCARS displays for it or other such sets can be downloaded from the following site, but graphic displays are only visible to registered members. Adge is also posting his latest Flash stuff there. The old site crashed, and this is the new site, dedicated to Trek artwork. It's not my forum, but I joined as soon as I was told about it by e-mail then put a link to it on my site and a thread in this forum about it. Anyway, the printable panels are great for anyone who wants to glue them to plexiglas and backlight them in custom-built consoles.

Hmmm. Very nice!

I've used your LCARS24 system before, and it's very nice. smile.gif

Mostly, I've been using http://www.lcarsx32.com/lcars/index.php.
